Team Xbox (http://www.teamxbox.com) has the details (http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/10020/Mad-Catz-to-Develop-GametrakCompatible-Games/).

Mad Catz Interactive announced today an exclusive North American distribution agreement with In2Games. In2Games is a UK-based hardware manufacturer and entertainment software publisher. Mad Catz has acquired the rights to distribute the revolutionary Gametrak motion capture system and will launch two compatible game titles for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC to retailers in the North American market.

"Mad Catz has always been known for peripherals but we are expanding our offerings to include both cutting-edge hardware and new software titles adding new revenue streams to our already robust line-up," said Darren Richardson, President and CEO of Mad Catz. "By working with In2Games we have found a company that understands how to both excite the consumers and use innovative new ideas to drive the market forward."
Have any of our UK readers used the Gametrak? Care to comment on it?

I bought the game trak with the bundled dark wind fighting game.

I really enjoy playing on it, but it's difficult getting the space to set it up (we have a small living room) but it's fun trying to punch faster than 30mph!

In terms of how well it works, it's pretty flawless, and very natural to use. The end level boss is a right twat though. :)

Now I'm very intrigued! Thanks for the post, LilEvilFish.

Off you go to your local game shop for a look. Report in when you get back, there's a good chap! :)

hm, i was intrigued by this only because it had the same name as what became the 'gizmondo' -spit- (which my mate helped design the prototype for). i always wondered if that little thing might've done better without quite such a godawful name.

The best bit of Dark Wind is at the end of every bout, if you win, you get to "finish" your opponent. Meaning you can wind up a huge punch (the 30mph monsters) but I prefer to show off. Stand back, lean forward and playfully slap your opponent to send them flying out the ring. :D

Dammit, you should be working in the PR department for In2Games or Mad Catz. Sounds like a lot of fun. Is this the one that has the golf game as well?

Yep, real world golf, you even get a mini golf club with that one :D from what I've seen it's pretty sweet! I still have yet to get my hands on that one tho. I seen some things about baseball games or sword games as well. Kinda like that samurai game in the arcades.

good reviews of this surprise me, everybody I know has always had horrible experiences with madcat controllers and I was under the impression that their stuff was just shoddily made third party crap.

ahh but it's not a Madcatz controller ;) they're just kinda jumping on the bandwagon! Anything that brings out more games for it is good since it's only downfall is the lack of current games.
