Diablo III Bestiary Update

Blizzard's official Diablo III website has updated their bestiary with a profile of The Fallen Ones (http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/world/bestiary/thefallen.xml), including a background story, screenshots and a character animation & concept art movie.

The infuriated Azmodan held them responsible for the Prime Evils' continued reign, and so he left the fallen in their new bodies, where their degradation would serve to amuse him for all eternity.

Everytime I see an update to this game, I'm more excited to play it.

That said, the concept art looks a lot better than the in-game models. is it just me or do they look a little "jumpy" or cartoony? I can't really nail the word I'm looking for right now, but I'm sure you all get what I'm trying to say.

Okay, got it. They look a lot like the little minions from Overlord. Kinda goofy scary, sorta funny. That's sad to me.

It's way too early to judge the finished product based on this. Considering the fact that this game is still years from release, I'm pretty sure the models will get lots of polish. Look at how far Starcraft 2's art and models have come just since last year. Diablo's art direction has always been one of it's greatest strengths. That'll be evolving right up until the game is finished.

Although I think it's cool to see bits and pieces, too many uninformed people are second-guessing this game based on poring over the slightest bits of information. Blizzard's track record speaks for itself. They don't need to worry about it being a hit. That's already guaranteed. At some point, Blizzard needs to stop teasing everyone, just focusing on the game and releasing it 'When it's done.'

I can't wait for this game to come out. It will be a wonderful game, It sounds great and the videos for it already look good. This game almost makes me salivate. I think that i will like it more than WoW.

The concept art is very good though. The Blizzard art team has definitely upgraded their artists. While the translation isn't quite 100%, like Ant said, we gots lots of time for them to polish up.

Yes, the concept art looks great. But the models look very unlike the art. Maybe the do look a little like it, but the animations just scream goofy and bouncy, which throw the whole thing off for me. I think that's the dissapointment here.

Do you uhh... remember the Fallen Ones in Diablo II?

The little guys that run around screaming gibberish? The ones that fall down whenever you hit them? They were always made to be kind of funny. They weren't even anywhere near as annoy as the flayers in act 3...
