This latest video from the caped crusader's venture into darkness features one character who was once played by Uma Thurman in a really really bad movie. At least Poison Ivy looks great here and the game continues to impress with its plethora of videos.
Hit the headline for the vid.

Wait a second!
Would you break out the KY, weed killer, or rash cream?
Let’s say if you “did” Poison Ivy and you got a rash be from poison ivy or a STD?
Think about it
Still the game looks great, too bad they delayed it.

I've got plenty to play in the meantime. Delay it as long as reasonably needed to make it a fantastic game instead of just a good game, and I'll be fine with that.

I don't believe in delayed games, I just know that when they are out they are out.
This is looking surprisingly good to me, I just can't bring myself to believe that it will be.

This new video featuring game director Sefton Hill from developer Rocksteady Studios, showcases the in-depth Free Flow Combat system that allows players to act and react and amass huge combos using melee and counter-attacks, enemy armaments and the environment. Batman: Arkham Asylum from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Eidos Interactive, comes out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in late Summer 2009.
PSM3 were running a preview, pretending it was a review on their cover, and calling it the greatest superhero game ever made.
I can believe it but Poison Ivy should be all about the plant bikini not half about the plant bikini.
Was a co-op mode ever announced for this game? In that case it will be an instant buy.

Ivy as an RE4 boss?
I like her better when she sticks to her child-friendly zone and gives the ol' 'get off my lawn' to adults (NML Ivy, I guess).
Freeflow combat looks veeeeeery good.

I really, REALLY hope this game turns out to be as good as it looks.

I got a chance to play the PS3 demo.
I can say with confidence that this game has serious GOTY 2009 potential.

Was she voiced by Uma Thurman in that trailer??
Holy theatrical consistency, Batman!

Uma Thurman I like, good actress.
But I'm seeing a lot of T 'n' A in these trailers. "Re-imagined" Harley. Poison Ivy wearing a "leaf" instead of pants. Too much naughty bits makes me feel like the devs are trying to make up for lackluster gameplay. It's certainly happened before. I guess we'll see though.

Or that they know their target audience perfectly well.

Maybe after you beat Ivy you take her Moss Crotch power and get increased agility. And also +2 to Haberdashery: that lone shirt button must be impeccably stitched on.
Pretty pumped about this game--if the freeform combat actually has more depth than shown in a 2 minute video, and if they keep rolling out the stylized cast of villains, this could be genuinely awesome.
Or that they know their target audience perfectly well.
Or even using a character design/costume element that has been used over and over throughout the years.
