Skinning the Frog has been updated with a new blog post, Demigod: So what the hell happened? (http://frogboy.impulsedriven.net/article/352561/Demigod_So_what_the_hell_happened), detailing the entire Demigod saga up to date, including word that DLC is in development.
Q: When will more Demigods be released?
A: 2 Demigods are in development. I will have a better idea later this week when I meet with GPG on that.

I honestly think they give out too much information on their behind-the-scenes problems with the game. It sounds like an absolute cluster fuck of crappy P2P programming, and coupled with their suggestions for fixing problems (have a buddy with a really expensive PC host the server for your game) and the decidedly lame Easter excuse for the initial launch fiasco it's hard for me to see the potential fun I might have playing this title.

I actually enjoy playing it a little. I haven't spent much time with it but the graphics are pretty and the animation isn't bad. I think if I spent more time with it I'd enjoy it more.

The game is great fun but the P2P really ruins it for me because if you get ONE person with bad lag the entire game is bad.

I am really enjoying online play when I can actually play online. I'm still waiting for 5-10 minutes to get into a game. Their suggested solution for this problem was using gameranger, but it's not much better than waiting around for an automatic match. My enthusiasm has definitely been dampened.

add me to the online problems.....first time I managed to play online was today, and that was only 1 on 1. Better matching system would be helpful

After reading the article it seems early on they were making up excuses (pirates) for their own inexperience with proper networking. When this title is finally stable I'll be picking it up to support them learning from past mistakes.

My biggest problem with their excuses is that when the game was sold early by Gamestop, they flat-out admitted that they weren't even planning to set-up the servers until the day before release and were pissed that they had to come back early from their Easter vacation to set them up. I don't know, but that's unprofessional to say the least and what also bugged me is that a mere 100,000 people trying to play the game brought down their server, guess they had very low expectations for their game sales.
