Bold Predictions of '06!

It's the beginning of the new year, and there hasn't been much entertaining news, yet. But Certis of Gamers With Jobs (http://www.gamerswithjobs.com)has posted (http://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/21177#) a tasty bunch of predictions for the year 2006... Some a little more likely than others. From the article:

While other sites are welcome to prance around with their fancy “Best of 2005” game awards and retrospectives, I prefer to spend time making unsubstantiated predictions about the upcoming year in gaming. Already my prophetic words about the industry-wide focus on sweat technology has come to pass, there can be no more room in your hearts for doubt. Come, and I will paint you a picture…of a duck! I don't visit GWJ, only because it's too similar to Evilavatar. Also, I think the name is rather arrogant: many of the people who visit Evilavatar are still at school or studying. I'm lucky enough to be able to balance a weekend job and study, but it seemed to me that splitting from EA and then naming the new site 'Gamers with jobs' was an unspoken 'screw you' to the EA community.

EvAv and GWJ aren't that similar anymore. EvAv is more populous and houses plenty of mainstream gamers these days.

Evil Avatar and GWJ are nothing alike. Nothing at all. Evil Avatar is copy and paste news stories while GWJ is all original editorials with a kicking forum and gut busting podcast. Not to say that there is anything wrong with EA's copy and paste of news stories, you need to get those somewhere after all.
