View Full Version : Monster Hunter 3 May Head to NA
Monster Hunter may not be the crazy popular series elsewhere but the few iterations that have made their way across the water have found a fan base. Turns out that Capcom might be willing to let them in on number 3. From Siliconera.
This one’s not as exciting though. Capcom USA’s press page lists Monster Hunter 3 (tri~) for Wii under the TBA (to be announced) section, along with Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, which was already confirmed at Captivate 09.
Previously, Capcom expressed Monster Hunter Tri is a title they hope will get recognition in North America and Europe at an investor’s conference earlier this year.

why oh why was this amazing game released for what's possibly the worst fucking console since virtual boy. the major graphical downgrade from its original, intended PS3 release is almost unbearable. washed out textures, jaggies a plenty, and drastically lowered character models.
please let me get a 360/PS3 release.
I hope this comes out in america, it looks really good. Unlike Zeal i don't think graphics make a game.

Of course they are going to release it here. They are bringing us the psp version and there are a hell of a lot more wiis in this country then psps.
(I too mourn for the loss of PS3 monster Hunter.)

I wonder how this game will do in NA. It is uncompromisingly the "hardcore" Wii game so many seem to be clamoring for. However, that uncompromising nature has led to some pretty poor reviews by the NA press in the past.

Because the game has strong similarities to a fishing simulator, and the Wii controls will be made good use of. Also, because Nintendo has the vast audience. I have no problem with it coming to Wii.
That said it will be nice to play a Wii equivalent with hi-res in the next gen of consoles, due 2013 apparently =\

Not really. Even the remote-based control scheme doesn't have you swing it, instead you hold the remote in a particular orientation and push a button to swing in different ways. The game requires too much precision to work the way you imply.
