Gamasutra (http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=23320) is reporting this morning that Nintendo has moved over 8 million Wiis in Japan.
The Nintendo Wii has surpassed the eight million unit sales mark in Japan since the console's December 2 launch in the region, according to Famitsu publisher Enterbrain.
Despite the console being the current market leader, bolstered by continuing strong sales in Western territories, the Wii has shown signs of slowing in its homeland Japan. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said earlier this month, "The Wii is in the most unhealthy condition since it hit the Japanese market."
I guess that's pretty good, eh?
