Kotaku has word (http://kotaku.com/5216527/sacred-2-blessed-with-a-console-release-date) cdv Software Entertainment has announced Ascaron's action-RPG, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in North American on May 12th.

North American Xbox 360 owners are definitely getting their hands on Sacred 2 come May 12th, and while the official press release doesn't list the PlayStation 3 version, cdv assures us that it will be released at the same time.

i was disappointed in the game's overzealous use of retarded humor, those little quips the main char can't keep from blurting out all too frequently. really put the game in a "we're aiming for the middle school gamers" light for me.

Couldn't quite get into this on the PC, doubt a console would help it. I prefer my euro-RPGs to be more like Gothic or Witcher. I went back to Divinity and continue to await Diablo III.

I've always had a couple of big problems with core aspects of the Sacred skill system.

1) the sense of progression is borked as you get all runes in the first 1/2 hour or so of play. From there, the art just improves statistically. There's no sense of excitement about reaching X level to finally unlock uberskill. The new modfication system helps, but not enough.

2) the backwards feeling of actually NOT wanting to use every rune you find because it slows art regen too much. So for half the game, you're running around with your core arts at level 1.

In a strange way, Sacred is too much of a thinking man's ARPG where you have to have this vision of what exactly your character will be like at level 200, and then meticulously level up arts and skills accordingly.
