Saw this over at SlickDeals (www.slickdeals.net). Toys R' Us is having a huge video game clearance sale, all for a low price of $10. Supposedly it started yesterday (Thursday) but it shouldn't be too late for you to go out and grab up some awesome deals. Here (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=172687) is the complete list of games. One that really caught my eye was the Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube. That is easily the best $10 any gamer could spend this holiday season. Enjoy.

I tried picking RE4 for the GC up, no dice. They sold out awhile ago at that TRU, way before the sale. :/

I have been consistantly dissapointed by these super bargain clearance promotions. I've pretty much stop bothering because it ends up being either a waste of gas or a waste of 15 min sitting on hold with TRU.

One time the girl who I talked to not only kept me on hold for five min while she went and checked if they had the game, after she came back and said that they didn't have it she added that it was funny because I was "like the fourth person who had called about that game that day"

I seriously wanted to reach through the phone and strangle her. I just couldn't believe she actually said that, so I didn't even say goodbye, I just hung up as she started to say that I could try calling back in a few days.

I went to my local TRU yesterday looking for RE4, and they didn't have any. What was more annoying was that behind the locked glass cabinet they had 4 or 5 _cases_, but the guy demonstrated that they were empty. Why bother having display cases locked behind a cabinet when you also have the empty cases in the usual racks?

Anyone with the balls to visit a TRU this time of the year has my respect. I can't imagine a game I might want that badly.

I hate that movie. And the sad thing is, is that you probably are correct. Idaho was labeled as the 3rd fastest growing state in the Union this year (It has been in the top 5 for the last 5-10 years), and the signs show that there are going to be even more people coming to the suburbia hell hole I live in (Boise). Ugh. I am going to shoot that dude who played Napoleon.

I'm looking for a good multiplayer Gamecube game (2 player) that a seven year-old can play. Any suggestions?

Those are some massive deals. Goddamn, too bad I don't live near a Toys R Us.

I really need a GBA for games like Golden Sun (SNES style RPGS) but I might just get a DS instead. And this is coming from a guy who DOES NOT portable game, haven't owned one since the first monochrome Gameboy. Says a lot, actually.

If you spend a bit more money, you would be able to get the Nintendo DS Mario Kart bundle for $150. Comes with a kick ass game and plays all GBA games.

Just wait till you get to the bird. That one was the one that pissed me off the most. Kept on falling off of it and it sucked when trying to run across its wings with the wind drag.

That's why I bought my DS. GBA RPGs and the expectation of similar plus more on the DS, and never even owned the monochrome GB.

I snagged the last copies of Metal Slug 4/5 and Romance of the Three Kingdoms X. They had a ton of Killer 7s so I grabbed that too. They also had a lot of RE4s but I already have that (like all the COOL KIDS) so I left it alone. Killer 7 and ROTTKX apparently have some deal going on where you can get a $5 rebate by writing reviews for Pricegrabber.com so I think I just got three games for $20. Not bad. I just wish they had Psychonauts, Tekken 5 or Digital Devil Saga.

I hate those assholes that buy 20 copies of a cheap game and turn them in at EB for more credit, or sell them on Ebay for jacked up prices. It just doesn't seem right.

I drove out to Toys R Us for no reason. They were out of all the games I wanted. I think parents just saw the cheap prices and went for all the cheap games. At least it seemed like all the $10 were gone. Psychonauts, Tekken 5, Metal Slug 4/5, Resident Evil 4, etc. I think I saw ONE game with the $10 price tag that was still around when I got there. Damn!

I work at Toys R Us... They did not tell us about the sale, motherfuckers.

Add in that we have gotten jack shit shipped to us, and the fact we can't get anything organized as we have AT MOST 2 people in the fucking area, dealing with dumbfucks who don't know what a xbox 360 is, but demand one anyways.

I also never answer the damn phone, as I am too busy dealing with people in the flesh to give a damn about someone on the phone.

When I went to the TRU it wasn't bad, all of three people looking for games (I did show up at 8am, heh). One was from Cheapassgamer, dunno where the other found out about it. They had more PS2 games, but I was interested in GC games.

Yea I worked retail for 8 years, and I know how you feel. Some people on here get mad over the smallest little things that sales associates to do them, its obvious they never had a job dealing with the general public before. Their whining almost makes them sound spoiled at times.

"Waaa, someone told me i was the 4th person to ask for this game over the phone! It made me so angry that they said that! I'm a big baby!"

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of times to get pissed at associates for either lying or something equally as bad, but people just seem to get mad at things they shouldn't.

I believe the point of SMES's post was that if she had been asked that question 4 times already why would she take 10 minutes to figure out the answer.

Unfortunately you really can't get in on these sales the day after if you expect to be able to grab the really rare and best stuff. A lot of people are there first thing in the morning to snap it all up or buy it as soon as thye find out about the sale and get it price adjusted when the sale starts.

Because perhaps the FIRST 4 times she was asked that question, they had copies in stock. Sounds like she was being a good associate and checking to make sure they still had some (which they didn't, sadly).

A bad associate would have just said, "yes, we have some" assuming that they didn't sell out from the previous 4 calls. Then SMES would have driven all the way out there, only to find out they were sold out. THEN it would have been proper to be angry. But since she checked beforehand, that event was avoided thanks to her. Retail is certainly a thankless job, as good deeds by associates always go unnoticed.

Again, I'm seeing that it's very obvious alot of people haven't worked retail before. Unless you have a warehouse full of a product, a good associate always takes a few minutes to check for something, even if it was in stock 15 minutes ago. This is especially true during holiday seasons.

I've heard good things about Tak 3. It's designed for children, is supposed to be well designed and pretty funny, and it has 2-player co-op through the entire game. Kirby's Air Ride is pretty good, and it has a very minimalist control scheme.

Buy the DS or I'll kill you. Also, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is the best RPG this year. Yeah, you heard me, Dragon-Quest-lover.

Tell me about it. Having just finished both GBA Metroids this past week via an emulator, I was surprised just how much I miss the old, 2-D style of games. Now I've got Zelda: Minish Cap, Castlevania, and a bunch of other GBA/DS games I want to play. So the DS is looking very attractive right now ... too bad I'm broke.

I heard about this sale before it started on Cheapassgamer and was there when they opened Thursday. They were already pulling the games to put in a large bin when I arrived so I had to wait around for them to finish filling the bins and bring them out, but it was worth it. I picked up 2 copies of Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls for my brothers to go with their new DS systems they are getting tomorrow. I also grabbed a copy of the Gamecube Warioware Inc for my sister and Mario Party 5 for my niece and nephew. For myself I got Conker: Live and Reloaded, Metal Slug 4&5, and Pikmin 2. Some great deals all around and all will make for a great day of gameplaying come tomorrow morning. :)

In regards to the portal system comment, I too have never been much of a portable system gamer. At one time or another, I have owned almost all the portables, but I bought very few games for them and did not even play them much. But since I got my DS about six months ago, I have probably played it more than any of my consoles, especially over the last two months. The DS is the absolute best way to play GBA titles as the screen is great. I throughly enjoyed playing through Minish Cap and Mario and Luigi on it. As for the DS games, well, there are about half a dozen games for it which I think rival any of the consoles' systems offerings for game of the year. Castlevania: DS is awesome, and Mario Kart is the best version in the entire series. I suspect I am getting Metriod Pinball and Animal Crossing for Xmas and I can't wait. I'm having an absolute blast with my DS, it is getting more play than even my 360.

Just telling everyone, on Monday Toys R Us is going to have another huge sale starting monday.

I didn't get to see the list (but it's huge, larger then the current 9.98 game list) of games going on sale for 75% off. It's according to a list i saw and the people i asked but yah that's according to them.

Can you be more specific? What people did you ask? Sales associates? Will there be a flyer announcing the game?

Basically the people who were marking down the games for 9.98 had a list of which games to mark (which was the same as the website) and in anycase he got another sheet from the managers ahead of time for the next games to mark down on Monday. Im not too sure if there's going to be a flyer or not, so i say try and check today and hope for the best.
