Microsoft has announced the XBox Live Diamond Card free for all XBox Live subscribers that pre-paid for 1 year. The card will get you exclusive benefits and discounts from stores, restaurants and leading retailers. The card is also personalized with your gamertag on it.

So far it looks like Quizno's, Sam Goody, Carl's Jr., Cambridge Soundworks, Hollywood Video and Etnies are participating.

Yep. The sponsors are pretty terrible. . . Quizno's subs with buy 1 get one free is pretty cool, but they do that as a regular coupon anyway. Still, you know, a personalized card is pretty cool and maybe they'll get some deals that are appealling someday.

I thought the offer was for hollywood video, not blockbuster? I hate, despise, and loathe blockbuster. They charged me late fees the last 4 time I went there....of which the last 3 were %100 not late. I cut up my card and have never been back since.

I signed up and it said I would recieve it in 6-8 weeks if I met the qualifiing conditions? Anyone know what those conditions are 'cause I didn't see them listed. I've been a live member for 2+ years, is that good enough?

I never said I take advantage of my discount, or that I liked working there. I'm just saying that 10% of the "HOTTEST" DVDs and CDs is a really crappy deal. Since our CDs are sold for 40% more than what the company pays for them, and the DVDs are sold for 35% more.
I never really buy anything anyway. The internet is liek, right here.
And feel free to flame me all you want too. I'm sure you have a very good reason for it and I'd hate to stand in the way of it.

Now I just need a matching faceplate for my Diamond Card heh. I read about this in the current OXM, cruised over the the URL they had listed and didn't really see it. Today, I got an email from Microsoft with the exact link to it and signed-up. Thanks for the post anyway bapenguin. It'll be interesting to see what we can take advantage of throughout the year.
OK, I admit I signed up but this is lame.
