I had thought this would play similarly to Amplitude...
Wait, now I see it. The amplitude-ish "tracks" are the Guitar, Drums, Vocal and Bass that you d-pad to select, same as before mostly. The 4 colors must be different button presses, which if so kind of bums me out. The 3 possible "notes" in a track of amplitude felt perfect the way it used each finger independently (left trigger, X, right trigger) and each button presses had a dedicated finger/thumb to itself. Having to use your thumb to quickly press multiple buttons in sequence might be crampalicious. Unless maybe the left thumb is also used for a color, say dpad up or down.
At least that's how I hope it works. I sure loved me some Amplitude.
Tenacious D - "Rock Your Socks"
Fucking. Yes.

Gameplay video. (http://www.digitalsomething.com/news/2123.html)
Crap, they show the 4 face buttons controlling the beats. I sure hope those are customizable. Knowing Harmonix, they are. The closer I can get this to feeling like Amplitude, the better.
Shows very very briefly changing between the tracks in a song, looks Amplitude'ish as well. Nice.

I hope this somehow becomes an Xbox Live Arcade game that reads DLC. That would kick ass.
