From the 'sure to please fans of Sam & Max' desk comes news that Telltale Games (Bone: Out from Boneville, Sam & Max Hit the Road) have secured a publishing deal with Big Fish Games.

You can read more (http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1916&Itemid=2) about this over at Next Generation (http://www.next-gen.biz).

The first title to be released on the gaming website will be Telltale's Bone: Out from Boneville, which is based on a graphic novel series by Jeff Smith.

Telltale CEO Dan Connors: "With this alliance, Out from Boneville will now be available to a new audience at Big Fish Games to extend its reach even further,"

Telltale Games is currently working on a sequel to the cult hit Sam and Max Hit the Road.

Heh, my mum loves Big Fishes (sp) games and she likes the old adventure games from Lucasarts (and Bone) so this is pretty odd as normally shoe knows nothing of games companies and she will recognize both of these companies.

I just stopped and stared at this for a while, with one eyebrow raised. I still don't quite know what to say.

Keep in mind that Telltale would still be publishing these games on their own website regardless of whether they signed a deal with Big Fish or not. So there isn't really much reason to crap your pants with glee over this news, though I suppose the extra revenue from this will help quell any fear of Sam and Max getting the shaft again. And that's good.
