Final PS2 Armored Core Title Gets Release in 2006

Agetec, Inc. has announced that Armored Core: Last Raven is to be released on PlayStation 2 in spring 2006, across North America.

Armored Core: Last Raven (http://www.pro-g.co.uk/news/nid/1496/2027/) is the final game in the Armored Core series that will appear on the PlayStation 2, and takes place six months after events of Armored Core: Nexus. Two powerful groups, the Alliance and the Vertex, are fighting for world domination, but victory lies in the hands of the Raven pilots. As a Raven, an elite mech warrior, you must decide with which faction your allegiance lies, or go it alone and face the wrath of all Ravens.

Armored Core: Nine Breaker (I think the 9th title in the series) came out somewhat recently. And a PSP title is either coming out soon or just came out... why won't this series die. :(

I enjoy the Armored Core series alot (except Nine Breaker - no missions :mad: ). I've been looking forward to Last Raven ever since I heard it was out in Japan. I can't wait to play the one From Software has in the works for the PS3 & XBOX360. Giant customizable deadly robots are very cool. LONG LIVE ARMORED CORE!!!!!

They still MADE them, they just weren't any good. At all. Even die-hard fans started turning against them, which says a lot considering the nature of Armored Core fans (see Immaculate Simian's post). Last Raven is actually supposed to be good again, but I'll believe it when I play it myself and don't want to slit my wrists with the broken disk.

Have they realised the PS2 controller has two analog sticks yet? I played one of these games for the first time since the second one on the PS1 around a year or two after MA came out and just... ugh.

After project phantasma (second armored core on the playstation, which introduced arena mode) that the control scheme was just about perfect where it is. How would you suggest having the right analog stick implimented?
