In the most recent Steam News update (http://steampowered.com/Steam/Marketing/December16.2005/?l=english), Valve has posted word that they will be doing a few last 2005 updates including new player models for CS Source and an update to Day of Defeat Source.
We have one more week of releases coming to Steam before we close out 2005. Next week there will be two new player models, one for each team, released for Counter-Strike: Source. Early next year we'll be releasing a completely rebuilt version of cs_militia. There is also a fairly high chance we'll be releasing an update to Day of Defeat: Source next week, which will include a number of small changes.

Haha, I'm right there with you. Cs_militia and cs_siege (with APC) are still my favourite maps.

Now all they need to do is get rid of the AWP and everything'll be great! :p

We need 3 models per team. I love custom servers with skin sets that let you choose. I love getting Urban camo for CT and a generic T model with the ski mask. Just makes the game feel better and of course lets you identify your target easier.

My brother and his friends new a glitch on one of the VIP maps...just launch 2 to 3 smoke grenades each, so I suppose 15ish, and the server crashes. People thought they could do it on any map...so they were able to use fear to their advantage. This was back when CS was still small.

when CS was still small, there weren't VIP maps.
proper CS nostalgia refers to the days when dropped guns stayed on the map between rounds. :p

As most who played would agree, the early beta days were the best.
