Thanks to Next Generation (http://www.next-gen.biz) for the story (http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1892&Itemid=2).
Game sales are equally slow across the pond, with Activision slashing prices of top titles such as Call of Duty 2 to £19.99; EA and Ubisoft react.
Slow holiday game sales prompted Activision to drop prices on certain games as much as 30 percent at U.K. supermarket giant Woolworths, leaving other publishers little choice but to follow suit. Ubisoft and EA have both countered the price slash with their own deals at top U.K. games retailer Game. New game titles normally average £30-40 for current generation titles.

Time to stock up on some of those nice PC titles you've been eyeing up! For example, F.E.A.R. for £19.99 (http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=11142&mid=325136) at GAME (http://shop.game.net). There are plenty of other deals as well if you're so inclined.
