Have you had your fill of Uno for the XBLA? Want some new gameplay mechanics? You're in luck this Wednesday when Uno Rush hits Xbox Live Arcade (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/u/unorushxboxlivearcade/) for 800 which clearly has become the new standard price for new games.

Xbox LIVEŽ exclusive: UNO RUSH is the sequel to the number-one selling Xbox LIVE Arcade title UNO, and is exclusive to Xbox LIVE Arcade.
Full support: Full avatar, LIVE Party Chat, Xbox LIVE Vision camera, and Big Button Pad support is provided.
Multiplayer action: It's couch play for the whole family, with up to four players per console, and full guest support for multiple users per console over Xbox LIVE.
Exciting UNO-style gameplay: Several special command cards affect different aspects of the game, including skipping the next player's turn, reversing the direction of play, changing the color of the discard pile, scrambling the next player's hand, or making the next player draw two or four cards.

Update:
Uno Rush is now available.

800 which clearly has become the new standard price for new games.

Since the standard price for Xbox Live Arcade games has increased to 800 MSP, I've found myself buying a lot less.

I think you're behind the times...800 is a pretty old "standard" and the new one seems to be 1200.

1200 - Pours cold water on my desire to buy
800 - Needs to be a decent title to grab me.
400 - Virtually an impulse purchase for me.

I wonder if the economics/statistics make sense for them to be moving that price point higher and higher and higher. It seems to me that the point where diminished sales cuts more than a higher price brings in would be from the 800 to 1200 bump.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I'm old and slow sometimes. :( I'd agree with your chart. 400 points is basically impulse territory, while 800 and 1200 require scrutiny. The original Uno was 400 points though, so I guess adding Rush to the title is worth another $5.

I'll be buying this without hesitation. UNO is one of my most played XBLA titles, so dishing out 800 points for UNO Rush is a no-brainer.

I have to much of a Christmas backlog to be concerned with live titles, that includes Lost & the Damned.

Unfortunately, I think you're right on the money.

Is this UNO going to be a "must have" for fans of the 1st one? I love the original UNO to death, but only play single player. And if this is just a bunch of multiplayer add-ons and avatar support I don't want to waste 10 bucks. I can't print more cash. Once it's gone it's gone. :p

You obviously know NOTHING of American capitalism, the Treasury, or the Federal Reserve. :D

This is exactly what you MUST do! Spend now; we'll print more later.
