Combine fully-automatic, weapon-equipped vehicles with highly detailed and interactive urban environments and you have Full Auto, the most destructive racing action ever experienced in a video game. This racer allows players to choose from a wide selection of unique vehicle designs and arm them with any combination of machine guns, cannons, and other deadly weapons.

While I still dont feel this game looks like anything better then a pretty xbox game, I'm starting to look forward to it. The Official Site (http://www.segalabs.com/) is awesome. I'd put in a pre-order, but the rule of the day for 360 games so far is delay....delay....delay....delay..... so I'm expecting this to release sometime in late 2008.

You just don't see games like this enough. All techincal aspects aside, it just looks like fun. I've just been thinking recently that I miss getting some friends together for some car combat gaming. Let's hope this fits the bill.

Didn't this game used to be called Twisted Metal?

I agree with you except that I have the impression that if my Xbox was running this, and if it also looked like this, that then the gameplay for a game like this would really suffer from a lack of resources. There is a lot of stuff out in the open all interacting at once in this game, and so its not as simple to code around that kind of stuff, they need raw horsepower to pull off stuff like that AND have it also look pretty.

^^^ Ah, a self-referential post... that's deep.

What exactly does "fully automatic" mean in the context of cars?

I'm hoping this brings back alot of the fun I had playing Carmegeddon back in the day.

What was that Xbox game that looked awesome where you chased cars down and drove through all kinds of stuff and it ended up being the best-looking shitty game of all time?

Breakalot.. Crashtastic... hmmm

It won't. It's a "race" game, so you're going on a rail the whole time. Carmageddon had PLENTY of off-track area.

Hell, nevermind. Carmageddon (and even the sequel) was a singular game. They'll never make anything like it ever again.

Wreckless, the Yakuza missions. It was beautiful, as one the the studio founders of the dev team (Bunkasha, I think) was also one of the people involved in the development of Direct X. That guy could push polys.

We never got Wreckless 2 from Japan, which blew away everything I had seen current gen.

Behold the beauty that was wreckless 2. I would have bought it, no matter how crappy it was.

Full-Auto reminds of Extreme G Racing for PS2 but just not as fast...
