Eurogamer (http://www.eurogamer.net) has posted an article (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=62159) in which they talk about Peter Molyneux praising a 13-minute short film entitled The French Democracy. You can read more about it by clicking here (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=62159).
Peter Molyneux - "With The Movies we wanted to make a game that allows anyone to easily express themselves by making a short film and posting them online to share with the world," Molyneux said.
"Alex's film, which is absolutely terrific, really demonstrates the potential power and impact that these films can have."
I haven't watched the movie mentioned in the article (stupid work computer restrictions be damned), but the idea is cool as hell! Maybe I need to buy myself a copy of The Movies...

It's a decent film, especially if you watch it without sound. It's a little more profound that way, nothing to get in the way of what the author is trying to relay.

It's insightful comments like this that make me glad we have the opportunity to post on gaming websites like this one, oh the wonders of the internet.
Seriously though, I might want to give this game a chance now, rather cool movie for having been done with a computer game.

Movies don't get much more one sided then that, as much I hate the French even.

I am really surprised by the power of the Movies to actually make movies. I thought it was gonna be kinda crappy Sims movement with you just moving the camera around some. I totally don't agree with the movie and thing it is very one-sided on the subject, but it has me thinking that maybe I need to pick this thing up. I got some movies I might be interested in making. :)

Very one-sided but the way immigrated blacks are treated in Paris still shouldn't be underestimated. They'll stand around major tourist spots in huge groups selling souvenirs and postcards and such to get by because they can't find work. Its of course illegal to do so and its deffenitely a sight to see twenty or thirty black men tearing down the street throwing postcards and eifel tower replicas in garbage cans while they try to get away. On that note I've also never seen police officers strolling down the streets or in the subway's with automatic rifles for no good reason.
