To All Our FATE Fans,

With the Holidays upcoming we thought that a couple new monsters (3), items, and weapons might help put a smile on your faces if they ended up under your tree.

NOTE: The bonus pack installer will overwrite any mods that you have made. Please use the mod manager to first remove any mods you have done, install the bonus pack, and then re-apply your mods.

FATE is a great pick-up game for the gaming-illiterate. Like MahJong and Solitaire, it can be played in a window for 10 minute stretches.

The game client is freely downloadable and playable for the first three levels of over 50 levels of dungeon. After that, the serial that unlocks the full game is available at the WildTangent online store (http://www.wildgames.com/ECS/htdocs/home.aspx?dp=wildgames) for a competitive price.

Actually, Fate is a great game *period* ... definitely one of the best RPG's of the year.

Interesting.. but too many !'s are a red flag and my book. And WildTangent is a man in a red shirt waving a red flag while jumping up and down shouting "warning" on top of a big red button marked "Do Not Push".

Wild Tangent has come a long way from its, uhm, roots. Fate is a great game and I wouldn't let WT stand in the way of giving it a try.

I have a son who is too young to play WoW or Guildwars (mainly just because I don't want him conversing with random tools online.)

Fate is a great alternative. He feels like he's playing a ORPG with phat lewts, and I'm secure in the knowledge that his mind is not getting poluted by typical internet asshats.

me too, 47 hours or something, before i decided i should put it down ;) was great fun while it lasted. i had a staff with powers that filled the screen from top to bottom. rah! eat that diablo II! :cool:

I tried it in a windowed mode. So yeah, update your version perhaps.

Fate is a delicious refinement of the Diablo gameplay formula - add a dash more Nethack, remove the plot, add a pet, and make the dungeon continue infinitely.

Lots of fun and certainly worth the paltry asking price. :D
