Above you'll see the recently released boxart from Fight Night Round 4. While this match clearly could never have happened, as Tyson and Ali are from two completely different generations of boxing, the prospects of them facing off is pretty cool. The problem here is that somehow Tyson was able to get behind Ali's jab and appears to be just about ready to unload.
Who would win in real life?

Ali. Wouldn't have even been close. Tyson got off to a great start against a bunch of truck drivers from New Jersey but was ultimately exposed as one of, if not the most overrated boxer of all-time.

Ali. Tyson did win against legit fighters, but did so on fear. There was a time when boxers were just afraid to be in the ring with Tyson.
However, Ali was the real deal and could not be intimidated. I would wager that George Foreman from the 70's was a more powerful fighter than Tyson was, and Ali took him down (and Ali wasn't even in his prime).

Honestly, that's a good question. Ali is the better fighter overall, but Tyson had the kind of power where he only needed to get a few shots in to win.

I hope this game is somehow revolutionary, 'cause this is one sports title that's about as dynamic as Tiger Woods -- it changes very little over the years.
Still, it'll always be lightyears better than any UFC offering.

Ali. Tyson had power but Ali was superior in every other category. I agree with Privatedonut, but I don't think Tyson would ever get the chance to land those punches.

Ali in no more then five rounds.
Sunny Liston, anyone? Tyson was thumped by the less felt of foot Evander Holyfield twice, he was all sound and fury, signifying nothing.

since I cannot edit my post. I will correct it here. "FLEET of foot" his feet were not made of felt. though that would be interesting to see.

Depends on what Tyson showed up.
The beast or the con.
Ali was the better fighter, but, with a slugger like Tyson, one lucky shot can turn the fight around.
If it had gone past round 2, it would have been one for the ages.
FN R3 was pretty revolutionary for it's time. I just hope 4 improves on the stick control and leaves facebreaker in the dust. (forgotten)

well what will be intersting to see how well relized this "collideable" system works. punches can hit arms, other punches as well as faces... and blocking is not supposed to be the 1/O, yes no system it was in three... you can block, but punches with enough momentum and angle can slide through and still hit. it will take a hell of a pyschics engine and well coded collision dectection to pull off.

Ali was great for sure, but if it was a match with Tyson with both men in their prime... I say it's a pick'em. Before Tyson split with Rooney, he was a boxer. After his split he was a haymaker machine who had forgotten how to avoid damage or throw jabs.
I'm super stoked about this game. FN3 was the reason I bought a 360. A few months ago I started playing it again and it still feels "right".

Ali, would have beat him, unless Tyson could get inside and unleash the power a few times. I saw most of his fights(Tyson) and he was a BEAST, always dangerous. If he would have stayed with a good management team he would have been at the top of the boxing world for a much longer amount of time.

Ok so statistically Ali would have won. No Doubt, but lets be honest. Tysons been to jail, probably made someone his Bitch and chewed on them too. So Tysons mentality would be getting Ali in a corner, then shank him and take him worse than japans rape game. LOL
