Yeah...I was really kinda worried a 0 poster was gonna get it. Surprisingly I think only 2 of the people that won prizes in this contest were 0 posters. Hopefully they contribute to the site now! :)

Congrats TrackZero (and everyone else). I'll mimic what everyone else is saying by being super happy that one of the regular contributors won the prize. Nice to see that Kelegacy's trick to send nude photos to the editors worked :)

I should have known I wouldn't win anything since I used up all my contest winning magic with my comic giveaway wins. If only I'd known about this giveaway before I entered the comic ones... Sigh...

Wow, congrats guys! I wish I had paid more attention to this contest and actually entered. Obviously there was a pretty good chance of winning something - better than the average contest at least. I'm really glad to see some winners that I reconize.

Don't worry Kel - there's always next year bud. ;)

Congrats to everyone, and a big thanks to all the people who organized this contest.

Oh and apparently I still have a piggy back ride from kel, that I have no way of cashing in, if someone would like to purchase it from me, I am starting the bidding at 3 dollars Canadian, so about 30 cents to you Yanks.

At this point, any more congrats would just be cliche. Well, Winners, enjoy your temporary pleasures. I can assure you they will be more short-lived than you realize....

Oh, and TrackZero? Guard it carefully, you wouldn't want anything to happen to your shiny new computer.... Heh heh heh....

In all seriousness, congrats to the winners, and Thanks to Bap and the rest of the EA staff for the awesome contest and prizes. Now I have to go wait a year for the next one....

Thanks EvilAvatar.com, EvilAvatar, bapenguin and the rest that helped to provide such a fantastic contest. I don't think there's a group that wants so much for their readers.

Also thanks to the sponsors.

So whats your old computers specs?.

TrackZero
12-13-2005, 01:44 PM
So whats your old computers specs?.

Currently I'm on a:

- Intel P4 (E) 3.0Ghz
- Asus P4P-800E Deluxe
- 2x512MB Corsair Value Select dual-channeled (so 800Mhz FSB)
- ASUS Raedeon 9600 XT (which I got a free copy of HL2 with, heh)
- SB Audigy 2.0 Platinum
- IDE - 40GB IBM Deskstar
- IDE - 80GB Seagate
- SATA - 240GB Maxtor
- LG 12x DVD burner
- Lian-Li PC-60 Case

So it's a pretty good box. Though I tend to only upgrade my parts one at a time on a piecemeal basis. I had been considering upgrading my vid card to x850 (as it's probably the last AGP card ATI will ever make). But looks like I won't have to. ;) I use my computer for art and what have you, so I've also got a nice Wacom Tablet (one of the huge ones), a CanonScan 4200F and Canon Pixma iP 2200 printer. Though my speakers are quite outdated. It's a nice 2.1 Altec Lansing set back from ... oh, I'd say 1999. But it doesn't bother me, I use headphones most of the time anways.

But I'm really excited about this new rig, I'll finally move up to PCI Express, be able to play Doom 3 and Battlefield 2 without having to lower all the settings to baseline. I've also heard some great things from friends about the Athlon 64 processors, so I'm wanting to check that puppy out. Also I'm interested to see how that 7200rpm drive will perform, I haven't owned one before and want to see the difference in load/access times.

I can then take my old box, install Slackware (yes yes, don't try and sell me on another distro, I'm comfortable with Slack) and set it up with iptables, run apache, ftp and a mail server on it, I'm sure I'll move my 240GB SATA into the new machine though. The more space the merrier! That way my new box can be completely devoted to gaming/workstation instead of having to run services (like BIND or FTP, which I currently do).

Anyways, yeah, I'm sure I just bored everyone with that, sorry. ;)

Thanks again EA and WiredUpSolutions.com!

Die you bastard.

I want to put the Holiday Giveaway behind me, I don't want to ever remember the fact that I lost.

I hope you enjoy your new PC. All the starving kids without computers in Somalia have to go without a new PC because of you. Had I won, I would have donated it to that poor country.

Jesus hates you.

Or you could roll over in bed and just tease me to my face.

Actually I won a Boom Chair, so all is not lost. I also won the Infinite Crisis giveaway and a copy of Nanostray earlier this year. I didn't want to mention that because fitbabits is supposed to be the lucky cocksucker. He takes the heat away from me.

Hah! I still remember how bad I wanted to win that Nanostray giveaway. Especially since I couldn't find a copy anywhere for about a month after the game came out, then suddenly it was everywhere.
