CongressDaily (http://www.nationaljournal.com/congressdaily/) reports on some recent comments made by ESA head Michael Gallagher (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Gallagher_(US_politician) about the current status and the needs of the gaming industry to flourish.
"We're the only form of entertainment online that's interactive -- movies and music are linear." Gallagher told CongressDaily. "We're very pleased with the president's strong embracing of broadband deployment as a high value goal for our country." The $6 billion-plus in broadband funds in Obama's economic stimulus package was a good start, he added. Gallagher's group also supports efforts to free up wireless spectrum as gaming moves from PCs and plasma screens to handheld devices. "The administration and Congress have a huge amount to contribute to make sure that resources are available and make sure that rules of the road encourage investment and give companies and customers access to it at reasonable prices and terms," he said.

Can't we just spend 980K on hunting down and shooting Lobbyist instead? We can make a game out of that, and the country would benefit.

I can't stand the ESA. I hate that there is a part of there agenda that I actually agree with.

it wouldn't be the only form of online entertainment if they didn't go out of their way to butcher the online gambling industry.

not that i've ever wasted more than a dollar (in pennies on a slot machine) on gambling in my life.

still somehow i think this is just going to push the providers further towards capping monthly usage.
