Relic's The Outfit (http://www.theoutfitgame.com/) has finally had its website go live.

The site is packed with all kinds of goodies about the game. Concept art, screenshots, 3d animations of the weapons and vehicles, the intro video, videos of the destruction on demand system in action, a developer diary section and videos of Robert Patrick (T-1000!) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy!) talking about their roles in the game.

Great info about Relic's first console title!

Yes, impressive, except for the whole "stand there and get shot" AI. But then again that's something Relic is known for.

Yay a new Mercenaries[wannabe]... oh wait that game was boring... it was great at first but just got way too repetitive. This looks the exact same but a crappy setting.

The background image looks very similar to dod_donner. Same source material I guess.

Outfit - with its focus on action and hollywood style pyrotechnics
Company of Heros - with its focus on plain ole tactics of Homeworld and Warhammer 40K

Best of both worlds. Hug my future X360 and Retrofitted PC.

Looks just like a souped-up Mercenaries.

Still, it's on Live and probably has more RTS possibilities (like calling in paratroopers and stuff) than Mercenaries had. Just too bad they picked the most overused war scenario known to man.

Can you say Mercenaries?

It's a bit of a blend of mercenaries, bf 1942, The A-team. Except you can blow everything up, and play online.

Blowing shit up in the game is freaking out standing.

Looks like More Of The Same to me.

Back to Baldur's Gate 2! I've been sticking to retro gaming until we get some fresh ideas on the PC, and even more important, stable gaming that doesn't need patching at launch. I know, crazy concept, huh?

The best review I read of Mercenaries was in Edge which called it "A great sequel waiting to happen". All it needed was a little tweaking and it could have been excellent. I still like to give it a run every now and then and get a bit more done, but it never had any of the character or charm of something like GTA.

This looks like it could do everything Mercenaries did but much better.

mercs and mercs 2(PC versions) were pretty good. Mercs 3 was uh meh, they changed many of the good aspects, and introduced ones that just didn't work. Hopefully this game doesn't end up as mercs lite.

Errr Random, which game are you talking about?

AFAIK, Mercenaries is only out on Xbox and PS2.
