View Full Version : RE5 Demo Downloaded 4 Million Times

Capcom's Jun Takeuchi told MTV Multiplayer that the Resident Evil 5 demo did rather well, moving over 4 million downloads on the PS3 and Xbox 360. That's pretty good for just a few week's time, and a pretty good sign that the game is going to sell really well.

With this and SFiV coming out in the same year, Capcom will have a huge profit indeed.

Yup, in fact, I hear that instead of a inside the game case there's a note that says "just download the demo". :rolleyes:

I reserved it today and I can't wait to play all of it.

The demo was decent, but it left sort of a bad taste in my mouth. The controls feel a little shakier than RE4 (strange) and the fact everything so far seems to be in the daytime takes all the terror away (with the African theme and some of the shit on the website, darkness seems like it could bring some REAL terror out of this game). And as much as I enjoy I, I really wished (or hope if there's nothing official yet) that there was an option to simply play by yourself with no partner (meaning no CPU partner either).

It's all about atmosphere, dude. Come on, you have to admit the idea of an RE game taking place almost entirely in the dark (assumption) doesn't go together well.
