What to say about this monday? its the 23rd of Feb. and a brisk chilly -13°C gives us all the incentive to stay inside with a warm mug of Coco. What games did you manage to play this weekend and what did you actually manage to enjoy?. Personally I managed to whip some ass with my friend playing SF4, my gods the animations in this game are just drop dead sexy. So please tell us of your Tales and woes of being a weekend gamer.

I don't think I played a single videogame the entire weekend.

Scratch that. I played a little bit of House of the Dead:OVERKILL when I was drunk saturday night. That's it.

Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers (XBLA)... Impressions coming later in the week. A few moments of Dead Space, and also two games of Scene it! with my lady.

I spent time playing SFIV, Medieval 2: Total War, and a bit of Red Alert 3 (finally finished the last couple of missions I had left). Over all it was a fairly decent weekend for gaming.

Killzone 2 - finished the campaign on 'normal', and restarted on 'easy' to take in the scenery and hunt down the collectables I missed the first time through.

A large amount of DOW II single player, followed by a large amount of DOW II multiplayer

Browsing through EB Games this weekend with my kids netted me a brand new sealed copy of Unreal Tournament 3 for $10 CDN.

After the Titan Pack release news I was actually this close to buying it from Steam for $20 US. Glad I didn't.

So I played UT3 and TF2. Good weekend for gaming, that's for sure.

Picked up Drakensang for the PC; a lot of Street Fighter 4 (and yet so few achievements); and some L4D. Star Ocean here I come! :)

I only played a bit of LittleBigPlanet and Flower Sunday evening. I was gone for most of the weekend, and I spent most of my spare Sunday time reading for a change.

messed around with House of the Dead: Overkill, got to chapter 8 in Deadly Creatures, tended to my town in Animal Crossing, and unlocked all the characters in Street Fighter 4.

I played Bioshock. I'm in Neptune's Bounty.
Killing Big Daddies and taking pictures is really cool :). I love the effects when it comes to freezing enemies and shattering them with the wrench.
As a new PS3 owner, I watched my brother start MGS4. That game is EPIC !!

Mostly SFIV. I don't think I've enjoyed playing a fighter this much since SFII at the arcades when I was in high school. Outside of that I got in some L4D and DoWII.

Watched my friends play NHL94 on the genesis, also defeated Ninja Gaiden for the NES and played various older games. Played the first level in Life Force as well. Mostly an old school weekend.

@vanlandw: Grats! The original Ninja Gaiden was no joke.

I played a lot of Left 4 Dead and some WoW during the downtime.

I finished GTA IV: LATD and found it... lacking. Moderate fun while it lasted.

Also tried Noby Noby Boy but I just don't get it yet. I'll have to spend more time with it.

Nothing.
Ended up picking up a Drobo and started playing around with that.
Then some Netflix on the 360.

Finished the CoD4 campaign - pretty great.
Played several hours of Rock Band 2 with my wife - pretty great.
Played the first chapter of Mirror's Edge - hated most of it. I hate being chased, and the game goes a bit too far with it. So I'd die several times before doing everything right. It was to the point where after five or six deaths I'd have to mute it until I got through. I hate that.

Street Fighter 4. Really digging The Fuerte! Unlocked all the characters (woo) and allowed a few challenges online. It's cool that it works like the arcade: you play single player for about 30 seconds and then someone comes to challenge your skills. Still waiting for electro to test my haduken on.

Hey, did anyone else play like 50 online matches and lose them all? Maybe I'm just bad.

I played through the Simpson's Game on 360 and then played through the Medium Career on Guitar Hero Aerosmith. I got a lot of laughs out of the Simpson's game, and was pleased that it didn't drag on too long. For the record, I only paid $10 for it, had I paid 60 I would have been pretty bummed to have completed it around 5 hours.

Couldn't tell you the last time I 'beat' two game tapes in one weekend.

Which missions did you enjoy most?
The C-130 , sniper..etc ;)
This is one of the few games whose singleplayer made me go

I started playing Neverwinter Nights 2 again after getting the Storm of Zehir expansion this week.

I also played the Call of Duty: World at War campaign, for the third time, and GTR Evolution.

Like a couple of other folks here. Played a bunch of NHL09 on the 360. I've been away from it for a while, so I'm trying to improve my skills again before getting back into online play :)

Also threw in Too Human (360) for the first time. Picked it up for under $30 this week and got instantly hooked. It's actually a fun hack 'n slash game. I don't know what I expected going in, but I ended up playing a game that reminded me a lot of the old Champions of Norrath/Baldur's Gate of the previous generation. Nice mindless leveling, equipment upgrading, monster bashing :)

All Ghillied Up and Death From Above were both great experiences. I didn't make it through the first without being spotted, but I'll be doing that for my second play-through.

Loved playing through COD4 campaign. Best game ever. I've almost stopped playing shooters online because nothing can hold a candle to that game.

Burnout Paradise kept me busy all weekend, with a break for Fallout 3. Anyone else still playing Burnout?

We played a bit of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, some Freedom Force, and we started Beyond Good and Evil.

LEGO Indiana Jones which was quite fun at the beginning but has really become tedious as its worn on. The whole game feels really lazy. I only played a few minutes with LEGO Batman (bought both really cheap) which is even lazier than Indy. I haven't played any of the LEGO Star Wars games and I certainly won't after these two.

Too Human which is addictively bad. Like. There's a billion problems with it. Yet somehow, I managed to play eight-hours worth. I'm not even enjoying it, yet somehow pressing on willingly.

Street Fighter IV which whooped my ass. I've talked to my sister (she's the fighter fan and virtual ass-kicker of the family) into getting an arcade stick, which looks the way to go. Still, enjoying it despite being terrible at it.

Ridge Racer 6 which I got dirt-cheap and has been slightly disappointing (I know what to expect with the RR games but somehow, this one doesn't have that spirit that the others did).

Afro Samurai on Friday (review tomorrow) and then a mix of 50 Cent (review also tomorrow) and SFIV on Saturday and Sunday.

I've got the basic characters but need to get Akuma, Seth and that other guy. I've encountered Akuma a couple of times but hadn't unlocked the dull crap like Dan and the Italian chick.

I'm thinking of maining Rufus just because I'll probably be the only one to try with his weakish moveset. I honestly think he could have been a classic SF character.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten my hands on SFIV yet....

but I was able to finally get the "true" ending in Dead Rising, and got slaughtered in just under a day in Infinite Mode. I am fully prepared for the sequel!

I also started Mass Effect. Gonna try to stick with it, even though RPGs aren't really my strong suit.
