Shacknews (http://www.shacknews.com/) has posted some new screenshots (http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/39819) for the PC version of Rainbow Six: Lockdown. The title is slated to ship early next year.
Did anyone else enjoy the console version of this title?

Wasnt' the AI all fucked up? Couldn't hit you in plain sight, but nailed you between the eyes every time when you had cover or something like that?

Yup. I didn't notice it until someone said something, because I was constantly in cover and stuff. But yeah its a really fun game if you forget that its a rainbow game.
Edit: Looking at the screens, it looks much better then the console version. I also hear that they are making it far more realistic then the console version aswell.

Yea, I've got it on XBox. They're so SO dumb. They either miss you at point blank or hit you dead on from a mile away. All screwy.

At least Ghost Recon 2 is still realistic. And GR:AW on the PC is apparently going to more like the original game.
Edit: For the record I love Ghost Recon 2, its the best tactical third person shooter there is if you ask me.

I loved the RB6 3 but i avoided Lockdown because of people said it was crap and flawed. Shame.

Lockdown felt weird. It had enemies that would spawn, which alone is very unrealistic. The health system and length of mssions became very annoying. One good hit early on and the rest of the stage just got harder.
Add in the weird accuracy thing... and you get a challenging, ok game... but not a tactical shooter.

I agree with all that is above. I'm a huge Rainbow Six fan, and enjoy collecting video games in general. I traded Lockdown in. Beside the weird AI, and the new "I can take three bullets in the head sometimes and keep living system" ~crap~ the PEC online mode was an amazing idea. But everything around it was crap. Basically, if they would have left everything the same as RB6 Black arrow, removed the slow walk glitches, tuned up the graphics / load time and added the PEC mode and the spawn shield, this game would have been amazing. Instead they re-wrote everything to try and get in on the same new success Ghost Recon has had, and turned away allot of people by doing so. Most of the RB6 players I know a will not buy the next one until they rent it.
Which coming from this crew of people is pretty huge, as they are still playing Rainbow Six Three.

I'm still waiting for a replacement for Raven Shield. Even today, I'll fire it up and cap me some T's with a variety of weapons. The blood, the accuracy of the weapons, the need for stealth all made it a winner for me. Online play was fun too.

Same here, the most recent Rainbow Six game I play is Raven Shield (and its 2 expansions).
The console games were not Rainbow Six games and I refuse to touch them.

Yep, UbiSoft went from being a great developer to a faceless giant that's quickly catching up with EA in the realm of shitty publishers. A few more licenses and they will be right there.
