With the holidays drawing closer, CNN's Game Over column (http://money.cnn.com/2005/12/05/commentary/game_over/column_gaming/) has put out its annual list of gaming gifts for the extremely (hell, obnoxiously) wealthy. This tongue-in-cheek piece features real items, including a $252,000 monitor and $1,000+ steering wheel. Learn about Bill Gates' secret "World of Warcraft" obsession and see Chris Morris get his once-a-year chance to use CNN's vast resources to hit on former Law & Order star Angie Harmon.

Man, a giant video wall? I am so going to need a video card that can do 128000x102400 with 128xAA to say the least.
He is joking on Bill Gates playing WoW, right? On Mal'ganis?

Those lifestyle notebooks are one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. What is the matter with just buying a fucking 200 dollar shitbrick laptop and a Gucci carrying case if you insist on looking stylish. The way the handle sticks out makes it look like a ridiculously uncomfortable to use machine.
To go even further, is it even possible to look high class and stylish if you are using a computer in public?

Two words: Apple Powerbook.
EDIT: Just looked at the link, those things are basically uglier versions of the old clamshell iBooks, (http://www.apple-history.com/?page=gallery&model=ibookse) except on those, the handle (http://www.applelinks.com/news/gifs/ho_ibook_handle_n.jpg) flips up out of the hinge.
I never cared much for the look of those, but it's both better looking and more practical than the Go Book deal that pretty much rips it off.

If your definition of style and class is pure bling, sure. Some of us actually use our notebooks to do work though, and as far as 'looking' classy goes in a business sense, it's entirely possible.
I don't have a PB any more, and honestly the main thing about it that I miss about it (it was a long in the tooth TiBook) is that the clean design of it looked more professional when dealing with customers than my current notebook does.
Again, it all comes down to context, but stylish doesn't always mean "what'll pick up the girls."
Hmm, surprisingly no mention of the iWhore.

Gotta disagree there. Most powerbook users in my neighborhood get classified as boring students(kids), when seen in the coffee shop or the park.
Pull out a zaurus and a palm IR keyboard and start typing away and people are a bit more intrigued.

Any of the ADAs on Law and Order past and present would be delicious. Well, Angie, the girl before her (especially HER...rrrraaaooooww) or the current blondie. Kelegacy hearts female Assistant District Attorneys.

I live about 45 miles from Warren Buffet - maybe if I pop over for a visit he'll buy me one of those video walls?
