regarding the 1 entry per day thing

I saw the Day 1 thread early this morning, like 5 am. Submitted my entry for the Grand prize.

Checked back in before work just now and saw the Day 2 thread was up and submitted another for the Grand prize. Does it count if the next Day thread has gone up as being a new day or do you actually want us to wait 24 hours? (not sure, not trying to sound like an ass).

If so (the waiting) then dont delete all my entries :( just the last one

I was just wondering what the site's traffic is like. Anyone have an idea what the odds of winning are? It seems like it would be quite a bit better than a lot of contests, but I might be underestimating the site.
Just from watching the users list from the main site, there's a few hundred people with registered accounts who visit throughout the day, and 2-3 times that of people who aren't registered. It's hard to tell just from eyeing it though due to people visiting from so many time zones...

I also wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people have made accounts just to enter so... the odds are tough.

Well I don't know about teary, but thanks very much anyway...what's ironic is that I lurk here 95% of the time...I've had my username for over 2 years but ususally don't sign in when I browse by each day and only rarely have time to comment in the forums...but then when I put in for the contest I win on the first day. That must make you dedicated posters sick...

[EDIT] hmm...says my join date was April 2005...thought I'd signed up much earlier than that...odd.

Yeah but only about 1600 of those have looked at the rules....lets hope for some serious disqualifications.....yeah I know its harsh, but I WILL climb over the broken bodies of disqualified entries and dreams to claim some of these prizes.

Question: Does the grand prize ship to canada? It says it doesnt ship 'worldwide' but sometimes Canada is included in that bracket and other times, not.

Also, is there a schedule of prizes for upcoming days? Or is it pretty much standard? A gaming mouse, boom chair, and some random prize? Maybe I missed that post.. But it's not in the official rules as far as I can tell.

I haven't been around as long as some of you, but I've been reading the news and posting for long enough to feel like a legitimate member, so I won't feel bad when I win that PC.

I think i have one problem, i could define with this contest. I don't see the equality of someone who just joined, versus someone who has invested time into the community, you know give some take some, where as these people just take (randomly i may add). Another way to look at it is that the winners who havent posted much may become future contributers to the site. I geuss each side has its disadvantages :/.

I am a newer member and agree with you. The grand prize winner might be a a new guy, or someone that registered just to win the prizes and nothing else. Maybe everyone should have to pay at least a $20 donation in order to enter. Then you can help out yoru fav forum and be among the elite to register for a chance to win. That is obviously not going to happen and it does have its ups and downs.
However, I have noticed the earliest entry date for posters is Feb 2005. Is this when the forums were created, or did they exist long before that and something catostrophic happened? If the forums were only started in Feb then your whole ideal of new guys and non contributer is wiped blank and there are no "senior" members.
I still say thanks for letting a noob like me register. :D

Thanks for the prize, the congrats, and the great site. I don't post very often, but I do show up daily to read my gaming news. Evil and Blue's are the only two sites I really go to anymore to keep up to date on the events.
