They are really pushing PSP content here... 2 free trailers, 1 free theme and 3 cheap themes! Why aren't everyone walking around with their PSPs? I mean, there are a LOT of good shit going on with that console;

1) A metric ton of awesome PSP games!
2) A huge library of PSX games available for purchase at the store! All the classics :D
3) The fantastic UMD library keeps expanding, and the movies are delivered with lots of extras.
4) You can hook up your PSP to a TV using the bundled cables and watch the movies on the big screen. Great from using at your cabin when you're snowed in.
5) Killer, ultra-fast web browser with fully functional youtube streaming :D
6) Supports divx videos, so you don't need some shitty application with a fuckload of spyware to convert the videos to mp4 (that would be crazy, cause that means the audio would just go out of sync all the time).
7) The sony memorycard are the cheapest out there, with a huge capacity, and most computers already have integrated interface for this worldwide accepted standard. Also, using non-sony memorycards in the PSP works fantastically, and you do not loose your data from time to time.

I am so glad I own a PSP, that was the best buy I ever did. Nothing like the crappy Nintendo DS, who only get a game released every fullmoon.

Many good points, however the back catalog of games is actually pretty good, but can be hard to find. And with custom firmware you can put any psx game you own on your psp. (As well as nes, snes, genesis, gba)

(I actually use my psp more than my ds, shocking, I know. I also like using remote play, doing the PJM challenges. But yeah eventually I'll run out of things to play on it since there doesn't seem to be much good in the pipe. At least Locoroco 2 just came out.)

Well Greeble, I kind of cheated here. I actually have a custom firmware on my PSP (had since 2.7 or something), and am enjoying it for PSX games. I've actually hunted down many old PSX games, as they now come dirt cheap. I bought a huge stack of them half a year ago or so, and started converting, but problem is that most games only work if you convert from NTSC (I got PAL)... well, I got them "somewhere else", but I feel it was justified, since I already own the games in PAL.

That someone hacked the PSP to do something unintended is not a valid point at calling the system successfull though. It killed the Dreamcast (together with the PS2 hyping), and in a way I feel custom firmware have both killed the PSP as well as given it new life. A paradox!
