This release just came through my door. Normally, I'd just discard it, but it got me interested. Basically, what it does is takes a look at what achievements you've obtained and gives you a new score based on the difficulty of said achievements. TrueAchievements (http://www.trueachievements.com):

In fact, we think they're bloody marvelous.

But sometimes the way they are scored doesn't seem quite right:

The easy 1,000 achievement points in Avataar are worth exactly the same as the virtually impossible 1,000 in Guitar Hero 3.

Now frankly, that's not on.

So we came up with a system that we think scores achievement points in a fairer way, based on the number of people that have won the achievement compared with the number that have the game

I feels like it's too generous with points, I haven't seen any achievements worth less than the original score yet. I like the idea though.

EDIT: Oh..there we go. 25k. I always wonder what my Gamerscore would be if I let my PS3 gather dust.
