Splatterhouse Trailer Has Blood, QTE, Prince of Persia Gameplay?

Bottle Rocket has premiered a new trailer showing off gameplay from their upcoming brawler, Splatterhouse. This is the new 3d version of Splatterhouse where your character's body deteriorates as he gets busted up, then regenerates. Strangely the trailer shows some very Prince of Persia style gameplay, particularly the jumping puzzles. Additionally, you see what appears to be one of those quicktime events that people seem to love so much.... Oh, and there's blood too.

Not from me. I can always go for some Ultraviolence, but this particular brand of it looks rather boring to me. And really, enough with the QTE combat. Decent graphics, though.

Didn't like the character design. Too "busy" in detail... apart from that everything looks pretty cool. I especially liked the metal soundtrack.

I'll go ahead and disagree. If I ever pre-ordered games I'd probably go put money down on what looks like it'll deliver a fun, traditional videogame. Proof of the pudding will be the combat system though.

And hey! If you're going to rip off anything you might as well rip off the innovative!

It looks like someone had a game design A with game IP B and decided to put them together - like the recent Golden Axe game.

I do not remember the old splatterhouse games as platformers.

I do remember the old splatterhouse games to be about weapons.

Why then are we watching this jackass jumping around like he's spiderman and doing ONLY hand to hand combat? Somebody please give this man a chainsaw or at very least a meat cleaver.
