Leaked Dead Rising 2 Trailer is the Real Deal

A supposed shakycam video of Dead Rising 2 has just surfaced on YouTube, and sources close to Capcom have promised us it’s the real thing.

We contacted Capcom to be told by a rep that he had personally not seen this video, but as far as Dead Rising 2 goes, nothing has “officially” been confirmed nor released at this time.

Even though I enjoyed Dead Rising, I don't think 'more of the same' is going to do it for me. Unless they work the NPCs in better, clean up the AI and controls, ditch some of the inane portions (*cough*convict respawn*cough*) and shake up the setting a bit more, I'll just fire up the original.

Totally official "viral" footage. The camera "shakes" in time to the jarring moments on screen, in perfect counterpoint to lots of the video. Definitely an attempt at a viral campaign.

I skipped the first one mainly due to what I had heard of people's complaints (the 'phone calls,' the escort missions with idiotic AI, and the save system). I'm hoping they can clean that up so I can dive in on the sequel.

You should pick it up it's only 20 bucks now and its well worth it. I can't wait for the sequel. The first one has all kinds of replay ability too.

I didn't skip it due to price. I skipped it because I despise escort missions, didn't like the sound of the "phone call" crap, and didn't like the sound of the save system.

In other words, the central features of the game sounded like crap to me, wrapped up in the wonderful concept that is a mall filled with zombies, which I would have loved.

I eagerly await the sequel fixing that crap.
