Even though Activision/Blizzard will be in attendance at E3 (http://evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76106), the later half of this company's moniker will not actually be there. Confirming to Giant Bomb (http://www.giantbomb.com/news/no-blizzard-at-e3-2009/902/), a rep stated the following:
Blizzard Entertainment will not be attending or participating in E3 2009.
I guess that means no StarCraft 2 or Diablo 3 :(

Actiblizzard is a nickle/dime company who is too busy counting their money rather than doing cool things for fans.

Right. Like throwing an entire convention filled of their own stuff.
The bottom line is Blizzard doesn't NEED to be at E3. What function would it really serve. They have mindshare already.

This. Also, maybe they are doing PAX, which is much better anyway.

E3 is dead, it just doesn't know it yet.

So true. People are going to by SC2 and Diablo 3 in droves, regardless of whether they show their stuff at E3.
I won't say E3 is totally unimportant to the big games, but if I were a publisher I'd use it more to drum up hype for new IPs.

This is exactly what I said, except I had my middle finger up at the time.

Blizzard has no reason to be at E3, as they throw their own enormously successful convention, where they will announce their games.

What, you mean WoW-Con? That's all Blizzcon really is anymore. As much as I enjoy the game, I simply cannot wait for SC2 and D3 to come out so people will shut the hell up about WoW for a few minutes.

Good for Blizzard. They will be at PAX. Screw E3. Power to the fans.

I understand that Blizzard is god...and nothing dare be said against them, but my friends who are actually employed with them currently are expecting pink slips any day now....it seems there new Handlers want to do to Blizzard what EA just did to Mythic....as if the major layoffs last year wasn't enough?
So you have this company that is making Scrooge McDuck sums of money and you cut jobs because hey all your fans are mindless scum and will buy no matter.....why am I reminded of old Interplay all of a sudden?

I will continue to be a blizzard fanboy until they actually make a bad pc game. Until then yes, they pretty much are god.
