Galactic Civilizations II is being developed by Stardock and is a classic space exploration/combat strategy game, which will hit a genre starved by the big publishers after the spectacular failure of Masters of Orion 3. Thus many hopeful eyes are following the game and in this internally produced and very detailed interview with Stardock's Brad Wardell (http://pc.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=9951) you'll get many interesting details not only about Galactic Civilizations II but also a hint about an MMORTS being released in 2007.

Boomtown's also got an entertaining look at the rather poor Dead to Rights 2 today on PS2, here's the review (http://ps2.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=9949).

i will say again: resurrect stars! supernova genesis! damn, i can't BELIEVE i bought MOO3... it had graphics bugs right there in the main screens. what a vomit-pool of a game.

oh, but yay! galciv! (this is a pretty decent space strat. still not as good as MOO1 IMHO, tho).

There's another interview (http://www.gamingnexus.com/Default.aspx?Section=Article&&I=919) with Brad at GamingNexus that ran last month.

Did anyone play Starbound or Starbound II on the Mac many years ago. Man I loved that game!

Spectacular failure? Oh comon.

End game, apocaylpse, managed to kill an entire franchise, harbinger of doom: Is a more accurate description. I believe.

I heard a rumor that the entire dev company committed ritual suicide a week after the game went gold, from shame.

Does that last, interupted question about Master of - mean they might be doing a sequal to Master of Magic? Presumably it wasn't about Master of Orion.

so, no-one else was following stars! supernova genesis? that game sounded awesome before it went dark...
