The Llamma (http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/) has tricked out his XBox 360. He gave it a total facelift including a new pointjob, a window, neon lights, a blue LED, a 60 gig laptop drive and more.

Damn...that looks nice.
Thanks Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000523070237/)

I like everything but the Window, because I honestly am tired of case windows...

Amen to that.

I don't mind case windows, if there's lights on the inside, in particular lighting something up, like UV sleeves, or something that makes the computer look better. But you're right, they're pretty distasteful now a days.

This friggin' rocks

I took the time to read some of the stuff on llamma's site, and it's incredible. He's even got instructions for a "rumble activated" LED on the controllers

Joystiq times out every time I try to go there. I'm can't figure out if it's because the site is down, or because my computer/router simply doesn't want me visiting there. Either way, I think I'm actually happy about the situation.

Wow that really makes me want an XBox 360. I wonder how much those will go for on EBay.

Wow, that is truly impressive. And so soon, too! I'm curious as to how he was able to take the emulation data from the old drive over to the new one; was it just as simple as copying the files over?

I read what I could but I didnt see anything about that. Ill go back and read it, but I thought he kept the old HDD and added this one on to it so that maybe it wasn't necessary to move the emulation.

There'll probably be a decent sized market for stuff like this. Lots of people like that stuff, but don't have a chance in hell of pulling it off themselves.

As far as windows go, I think they're silly in most cases(no pun intended). In very few situations is there anything to visually monitor in the case, so all you're really doing is degrading thermal performance, increasing noise output, and probably doing something retarded like stuffing the case full of lights.

I consider case windows and lights roughly equivalent to closet windows and lights. Anybody got a window on their closet door and lights inside it that stay on all the time?

Don't have a window on my closet door.. actually never seen one of those, but I do have a window in my closet... I guess so my clothes can see whats going on outside, and a light is on in there and it never goes off unless all the lights in my room is off. Then again I live in a really old house so these things are to be expected.

All kidding aside, that's pretty sweet.

It voids the warranty tho ....right? What is it any ways ? I can't seem to find it anywhere. 30 days, 90 days or a year? I can see modding after it runs out.

xbox 360 comes with a 90 day warranty, but MS gives you the option to extent it to 2 years for $49-59 depending on if its a core system or premium. I wonder how long until that box is banned from xbox live???

Never. It is just a case mod, if you read the article the original hard disk is intact and there is no "chip" installed in the system so there is no way to tell that this isn't a "legitimate" system on Xbox Live.

And even after a chip does become available (and you know it will happen), most chips have an option to turn the chip off before you go to play a game on Xbox Live. I'm not saying I approve, I'm just pointing out the reality.

I just wonder if it will cause MS to upgrade the dashboard so that it is not so easy to add a USB drive. I don't see a problem since right now it can only be used in the same way a media pc is used.

I want that with a side locking high definition screen thats the same size as the console, I really hoping the portable moniter market for the next gen rocks.
Back to the mods, the changing the led colors, originally the 360 controller buttom was suppost to change when it ran low on batteries or you got a friend's invite to a game.

Great stuff, I want to see more.

More proof that the 360 is nothing but a mere PC upgrade over the xbox. Nothing new here, move'n on to the next gen console.

I cant believe people are bidding on that. Spend ten times less buying a system on ebay them buying all the tools needed to do it yourself. Its all simple cosmetic crap.

The key words, esp. in america, are...lazy. Ignorant, and lazy.

The shiny principal comes into play here...if it's shiny, some dumbass will buy it.
