I hope the extended version makes it good....you know what....unless they totally changed the plot, no extended scenes could save this.

Will the movie be any better by the time it hits DVD?

***mini SPOILER***
after all the people (including this very site) said it was "tolerable" etc etc i actually spent my hard earned dollars to see it (and im a CHEAPskate). this movie PHYSICALLY hurt me to sit through. the story, acting, special effects, og my fucking GOD. also, does anyone remember in the original doom (or doom3 for that matter) where there is a hand-to-hand battle--ESPECIALLY as the finale? god the rock, you just NEED to puch something, dont you?

Strange... I saw Doom The Movie DVD already on sale everywhere in Moscow, Russia, when I was there last week... ;)

Skipped this when I found out it had THE ROCK in it.
Will be skipping the DVD as well.
Skippeed it when I heard it was being made. :p
C'mon, let's be serious... did ANYONE over the age of 12 think it was going to be anything more than a steaming pile of poo?! It's not like they had a rich universe and narrative to work from to begin with.

While I was in the theater I was thinking to myself, "finally, a movie with the Rock in it that he doesn't do any wrestling moves". Then there was the last 10 minutes of the movie.

I'm going to guess the deleted scenes were most likely deleted for very good reasons.

You know, if it had been a shitty movie but still had actual demons and hell and glowing pentagrams and stuff true to the doom 3 game, i would have enjoyed it. instead we got one imp costume that was reused several times, bland corridors that were reused several times, a brief mildly entertaining fps sequence, a cameo by the pinky demon (except its lower half was a wheelchair... OF THE FUTURE) and a plot that had nothing to do with demons or hell.
and no pentagrams.
fuck that movie.

There seems to be a distinct lack of satan in that movie by the sounds of it.
