According to Eurogamer this (http://www.linkshard.com/?I=756) is a banned 360 ad. According to other sites it isn't really banned, just for the web only.
Check it out, one of the best gamer ads ever.

Banned, eh? That's odd because I could have sworn I saw it on TV two or three days ago.

It's banned in the UK and (I think) Europe in general. I saw it here in the USA a few days ago and my wife and I were in fits of laughter during it. After we'd picked our jaws up from the floor, that is.

Needs to be in slow motion. Who plays War in real time? Geez

Banned over here? If it is then that's just stupid. I remember a recent ad (can't remember what it was for though) with adults playing shooty death. So if it has been banned it must be because it's associated with a games console.

Pretty weird if it's banned in the UK, the whole idea for the ad is "borrowed" from an episode of the UK comedy Spaced (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0187664/).

And they knew it was to be done in slow motion.

Wow, EA is normally pretty quick on the news, but this one has been floating around for a few weeks.
Its a great commerical though, ive sent it to dozens of people already. That link given seems kinda slow, try this one:

Oh my god, that was brillant. Best part has gotta be either the cabbie or the guy falling off the balcony. How could that be banned anywhere? It perfectly exemplifies the childlike fun videogames offer.
Of course, everyone's favorite psychotic lawyer is going to have a field day with this one.
Not that it deserves to be banned anywhere, but at least Europe has it's priorites right when it comes to the whole sex vrs violence thing.

Yeah, Spaced is a great show. They need to hurry with the third season already. But yeah, the spot was funny enough.

Why the hell would this get banned over here? As has already been mentioned, there was an advert a couple of months ago with something similar in a cab office and one of my favorite episodes of Spaced. The only reason I can think of is that it takes place in (what I think is) a trainstation.

The best video game ad I ever saw was a Playstation series ad called "Signs." I only saw it once, and absolutely loved it. Apple's 1984 has nothing on it, seriously. If anyone can track it down, that'd be great.
Google video was proberbly taken offline for the moment, that's why there isn't a single video on it. To be honest, I've not seen a single advert for the Xbox 360 in the UK anyway, be it on TV or from the two times I've been to the cinema in the past week. Poor advertising effort, if I'm honest. But yes, it is proberbly banned over here because of the events of the London bombings, and the whole killing-that-inoccent-brazilian-blokey ordeal thats still going on.

Best moments:
1)Cabbie saying "Just a moment" with his held up index finger
2)lady throwing a "grenade" around the corner and then two guys reacting to it
3)the dude falling off the balcony
4)the janitor walking out of his room to go "oh shit" and walk right back into the room
all in all, I liked the ad, I would like to have a HQ version of it though.

Well, seeing as I have three or four currently un-used domains, with like 60 gigs a month in traffic, I suppose I can setup a mirror for this one :) Let me know how the transfer speeds our, ive never really tested this hosting company in the past. ( they sure are cheap though...... ).

I think "Banned" is probably a bit harsh. More like "Not shown due to local sensitivities"
People running around and shooting at each other in a train station. Given the current political fallout from the Menezes shooting (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/spl/hi/uk/05/london_blasts/tube_shooting/html/default.stm) , this advert not being aired in the UK is hardly surprising.

But if there was cleavage, or any sexuality, it would be banned straight away. We love violence, just not sex. Or something like that.

I like my violence with a healthy dose of sex, thank you very much. I'm into the whole sex & death thing. (Or at least I was when I was a disgruntled teen. Now, I'm just hoping to have more sex before I'm dead.)
That is why I'm a big fan of the Friday the 13th movies. There is some kind of an odd social statement in there somewhere that I haven't figured out. And while I'm busy figuring it out I can watch Jason chop peoples heads off. Always a laugh.

Sex and violence are the reasons I get out of bed in the morning. Where the average person will be fantasizing about lunch around 11 or 12, I sit at my desk, in the office, plotting out the demise of my workplace, visualizing the death, destruction, and the ensuing torrent of crimson rain that would excite me in a rage of lust, violent colors of ecstasy and pain co-mingling in my brain until a sensory overload threatens to ejaculate itself all over the flat-panel display of my Gateway.

The menezes shooting created quite a bit of outrage here... And rightly so, I might add. The poor guy was executed for no real reason. OK, this kinda of thing happens a lot here, but in England?
BTW, Rockstar should do a GTA Rio de Janeiro, it woulb be about 10x bloodier than GTASA

I guess you don't watch desperate housewives, any soap opera, Lost, or anything on cable. We don't have nudity here on TV unless it's public access which actually has porn on it, or unless it's a back shot of the guy in NYPD blue. You know, Detective Scrotes.

I can understand why it would be banned, its a scary thought that people would have such a loss of awareness that they would spend time pretending to shoot each other. I love violent games but I believe that violence should stay in the games. I know the commercial is just a joke, but its even scary to joke about that. Even it it wasnt violence, any video game material needs to be left in the game, not brought into reality. It becomes dangerous when you mix the two. wait why the hell am i talking about this, this is the interents, no one cares. lolz 360 sucks, PS3 FTW, omg lol

Hosting company seems to have handled it fairly well! Just glad I dont pay for overages! :)
