According to this article (http://www.gamespot.com/pages/news/story.php?sid=6140485) over at GameSpot (http://www.gamespot.com), a bug in the DS game Pokemon: Fushigi no Dungeon Blue may erase data on Game Boy Advance cartridges.

Nintendo simultaneously released two versions of Fushigi no Dungeon on November 17 in Japan; one for the DS (Fushigi no Dungeon Blue), and one for the GBA (Fushigi no Dungeon Red). The DS version accesses the handheld's GBA slot so that if the player also has the GBA version inserted, they can play with data from the cartridge. However, a problem with the game can delete saved data if an unrelated GBA game is present in the slot instead.
Go to the well once to often and this is what happens...

This shouldn't be a problem. We all know Pokemon players don't play any games other than Pokemon. It's against their religion.

That's pretty hardcore.
At least it's only unrelated games - that's the difference between pissed off consumers and a firebombed HQ.

That reminds me of the time I went on pokemon message boards when I was like 12 and told people about a secret cheat to get mewthree or some bullshit like that whose last step involved deleting your saved data. Sooooo many people did it too. Man- I was a dick as a kid, but at least to the right people.

But hey a DS pokemon game is coming out, are you guys stoked or what?

Go to the well once to often and this is what happens... Yeah, that's the problem. It's because there are already other Pokemon games.

No. The original game was great fun.

Terrible failure in creative testing there. At least they're admitting to and fixing the problem.

When will they try and make a better Pokemon game? Say a bit more free roaming with Pokemon visable on the field? Or is hoping for a great pokemon game just stupid?

They're slowly getting there, the fact we have Pokemon RPGs on the GC is a huge step. With the online abilities of the Rev, we may see some form of MMOG, with a lot of luck.

I'll be stoked when they add online play.

A pokemon MMOG would rock, admit it.

Plus, the pokemon games are always fun, you can cuss them for aslong as you like but pick one up and your screwed for the next 2 months.

I do like the little connectivity bonuses Nintendo and Sony have been doing. Getting a bonus ring in Castlevania DS for having Aria in the GBA slot was cool. I'm hoping Mario & Luigi 2 will do the same thing.

The Dungeon games are supposed to be somewhat like Diablo, which sounds good to me. It's an old series that's never been released in the US. Maybe this one will make it.
