The Boss is finally hitting the music game genre, and strangely he's releasing two tracks for zero dollars for the first week of their existence, then they become available for $3.99 for both later on. The songs are "Born to Run" and "My Lucky Day". Everyone knows Born to Run, but My Lucky Day is off his new CD coming out the same week. They'll be available on January 27th.

Springsteen rules... I just wish he was coming to my music game of choice (Rock Band)

Wierd story but kinda cool, too. I've been a long time fan of Springsteen but I never thought I'd see him release music for either of these games. It's totally awesome that he's having them released for free too, especially the new track since it's debuting the same week the album is released to stores.

Born To Run is one of the great rock and roll anthems of all time, one song that I could see being a lot of fun to play. Like yourself, I'm lamenting the fact that it's being released on what I feel is the inferior rhythym game series (although some say they're 'the same thing', which I couldn't disagree more with) but I like Springsteen enough that I'll definitely DL the songs for GH:WT. Thanks for the heads up!

Both games ARE the same thing though. If you guys got off of the Harmonix pole long enough you'd realize this. Its all the same crap in the end. I have both, play both, and both are fine. But in the end, they're both the same.

Bold words, and I am proud to defend you here, but we're in for a storm.

While the games themselves are pretty similar, the hardware in World Tour is so fragile (*cough*drum kit*cough*) that I think it does make a difference.

You can use the same hardware for both games too!

I don't really care about Harmonix. They're not a company I feel any specific loyalty towards. I don't know why you'd infer this straw man logic to my comments since the word Harmonix doens't appear one time in my post. If Activision would have released RB and it would have been the same experience, I'd still tout RB over GH. So it's not a company loyalty thing and I don't feel any sense of elitism of RB over GH. They just play differently to me and, like you, I've played both series. I own all of the games for the various systems and have unlocked everything in all of them so I've played quite a bit. They're just not the same to me and it has nothing to do with Harmonix.
