GTAIV Progress

Yesterday morning after feeding the little one and having her fall asleep on me a few minutes later, I decided that I'd finally beat GTA IV. I just finished Pegorino's Pride and Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend. Pegorino's Pride was giving me a boatload of trouble soon after the game came out and was my GTA Frustration Mission (happened in every single GTA since 3) where I say "F it, I'm playing something else," but for some reason was able to nail it this time around.

How far along am I in the main story? I'm thinking that I'm probably 3/4 through or so...

I'm going to go on a 'Finish it' kick myself. I finished Battlefield: Bad Company and I put a bunch of time into Overlord.

I would say you are about 2/3rds through but its hard to say with that game as there are so many missions that you could do in a different order. I recently finished it late last year after a couple of months gap and enjoyed it more after the break for some reason. As for Bad Company I got that for Christmas and what a game it is, really enjoying it and the single player is a lot of fun as well which is new for Battlefield games.

With my collection, if I went on "Finish It" kick, I'd be on it for the next 2.5 YEARS. Why the heck do I collect games I never finish? But I guess the first question would be why do I collect books I never read? Good intentions that I will win the lottery and have all the time in the world, maybe....

Alright, I just finished GTA IV finally after all this time. Somehow I ended up getting Liberty City Minute by just under THREE MINUTES :o I was shocked when the acheivement popped up after completion, then went to check my time: 29h57m05s.

Now, I'm prepped and ready for The Lost and Damned.

Haha I was in about the same boat. I wasted so much time that I was mega-shocked when I got the achievement. You definitely cut it closer than I did though.

So were you dissapointed by the ending?

Considering all the great stuff leading up to the ending, I have to say that I was indeed disappointed. It didn't seem to close off very nicely... I understand that they wanted you to be able to keep playing, but the final cutscene was... meh. I felt after that, like Niko felt after he executed 'that special someone' on my command.

Whoa man, you slipped just under the bar I definitely didn't get that...i tried to take my time running around and doing other things to get money, so I was well over the mark.

I finished it on PS3 forever ago, and picked it up for $15 over the holidays on the 360.
I might start a playthrough on there, but Fear2 comes out this week, and I have classes... Who knows, maybe I'll play it here and there until Lost and Damned comes out.
