CNN (http://www.cnn.com/) is reporting that Pat Morita, 'Karate Kid's' Mr. Miyagi, has died. (http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/Movies/11/25/obit.morita.ap/index.html)

I know this is not related to game or techs news, but i know that many of you know this man. . .

Rest in peace.

I always thought he was a fun actor to watch, from his roles on Happy Days to Karate Kid. R.I.P.

I always loved him in his little bit parts here and there. He will be missed.

Awwww man. He ruled :(

He taught me that no matter how much you suck at fighting, that you will always have a cheesy 80's rock song theme behind you.

He who waxes last, waxes the least!

He made a cameo in last season's Entourage on HBO. He still had the funny.

Peace out, my negro.

Man, at least our newspost had some respect and avoided the "wax on wax off" crap everyone else is doing.

Everyone who grew up in the 80s (and 70s) had fond memories of him. Why couldn't we have a mentor like Mr. Miagi?

I still get all nostalgic when I see The Karate Kid.

"I'm the best around. Nothin's ever gonna keep me down." (As far as character actors go, he was the best.)

My favorite episode he was in was an old Happy Days episode, where he took Joanie into the backroom at Arnolds and and had her wax off her "bush"

You must have missed this post.
Life on, life off.

Anyways, its sad to see that Morita 'kicked off'. I guess Death gave him a sweeping roundhouse that he couldn't avoid....

Heh, he was a great character actor, perhaps a bit stereotypical but he always did them well.

Good luck in the big dojo in the sky.

Damn. I'm gonna miss this guy. ..I think anyone who, like me, grew up in the Karate Kid days, will remember him fondly. Peace Morita-San.

Sad day indeed, even though they weren't very good films I did love the Karate Kid films. Mostly because of the training scenes and Mr Miyagi, let alone when he opened a can of whoopass on the younger ones lol

As for George Best, nice guy or not, I lost respect for him the day he squandered his second chance at life and spat in the face of the family that donated him a liver.

Very OT, but this thread is probably the most appropriate place:

Richard Burns, World Rally Champion of 2001 and the inspiration for the awesome game 'Richard Burns Rally', has died after a long struggle with cancer. He was only 34.

It's a sad day indeed :(

Eddy Guerrero didn't get a mention on this site! Baaah. No one respects wrestlers, though they are heroes to millions and have the highest death rate of any sport.
