In an interview with Strategy Informer (http://www.strategyinformer.com/), Dawn Of War II's Lead Designer Jonny Ebbert admitted that the company was responsible for the lack of support in the original Dawn of War.

Our support of the game wasn't up to snuff. We did that to ourselves by making a very difficult patching pipeline, so one of the first things we did was make it very easy to patch this game (DOW II)." said Ebbert.

You can see the rest of the interview here (http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/warhammer40000dawnofwarii/interview.html).

I thought they supported the game and the community well, just the patching process was such a pain.

Thats like saying we suck so dont buy our game. I was a huge D0W fan the multiplayer lobby was a disaster and the ballance was laughable. After seeing the in-game footage for DoW2 im not very impressed.

I thought they did a great job with DoW, but it's refreshing to see him being openly self-critical. Hopefully, that kind of attitude will translate into a great sequel
