Nope, I am not Evil or evil (well, maybe chaotic/good), so while boss is enjoying the holiday I am here to spread some evil in his absence.

Happy Thanksgiving to all from Evil Avatar. For those outside of the United States, Happy November 24th. Tomorrow is Black Friday, the official first day of Christmas shopping in the United States and Canada. Is anyone planning on heading out to brave the lines and the crowds for deals or gifts?

Since it’s Thanksgiving, this is an excellent time to begin talking how Evil Avatar is going to give thanks to its community. Without you, Evil Avatar would not be the vibrant, living, breathing site that it is. So, in honor of that, the first Evil Avatar Holiday Giveaway is coming. The give-away is open to all registered Evil Avatar users and will run from December 5th to December 9th. An excellent selection of items is going to be given away during those five days. The exact list of these items and the guidelines for the giveaway will be revealed very soon.

So while you are waiting for the list of items, which are definitely worth the wait, make sure you register (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/register.php?do=signup) for your free Evil Avatar ID.

I would be going out for Black Friday if I didn't have to work. Goddamn it. My first year out of retail, and I still gotta work.

Happy Thanksgiving indeed. Though I tell ya E_MI, you need your own headline for Op/Ed stuff if you're going to do it. As my gift to you, I suggest "Forever Lost - ".

This is my fourth year working retail Black Friday.
2002 Wal-Mart
2003 Wal-Mart
2004 Best Buy
2005 Best Buy

Man, I am so happy not to be working retail anymore.

1999 Meijer
2000 Meijer
2003 Target
2004 Best Buy

Never, ever again do I wish to work retail, let alone on Black Friday. Last year was just nuts, and I did not even open, I was there around eight. It took me literally fifteen minutes just to get in the parking lot.

Meanwhile I have Friday off, but no money to spend (as I don't get paid until Dec 1st). D'oh.

Besides, like TrackZero said. It's not like any of 'us' are going to win. It's all about the fitbabits when it comes to contests. :D

will they be open to us across the pond in freezing Britain? Everytime the words "Only open to residents of the US and Canada" appear, an angel loses it's wings, steals a ferrari and drives off a cliff

Haha. Nope, not this time around. Evil has stated that editors do not get to enter. So someone else can win. ;)

I'll be honest, I am not sure. I think it's going to be open worldwide, I'll make sure that's addressed when the details are released.

I have to drive home today in the snow. If I never post here again, you'll know that I didn't make it.

That said, Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Enjoy this holiday, because the next one is a commercialized parasite out for your blood.

You have to understand, Evil had to make fitabits an editor so other people can win. Really, honest... Just don't tell Fits that.

Do subscribers get more weight in the contest? Because I'm dirt poor and I think I deserve prizes more than those money-to-throw-around orange-named subscribers. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Maybe I'll see some of you in the large globe-spanning mound of sweaty flesh tommorrow.

AFAIK, there's a lot of bad stuff mixed in with the goodies.

Like you can win a beating or a shakedown... Pretty evil :)

Nah..all members have an equal chance.

While I won't give any details away on exactly what we have, right now it looks like we'll be giving at least 4 items away each day with a "grand prize" at the end of the week. :) That is all for now, things still need to be finalized.

I suggest the theme of the contest Christmas, just to stay in line with the "attitude" we foster here. By which I of course mean Santa-Christmas, not Jesus-Christmas. And drunken-Santa-who-throws-up-in-your-stocking at that.

I still have yet to see a hockey game this year.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you had an accident free day (my 23 year old brother cut his toe 10 minutes after waking up).

I was thinking of going to Best Buy to save 10 dollars on Splinter Cell Chaos theory, but EB games has a 3 for 2 special on used games, and for 10 bucks I can pick up Enter the Matrix, LotR Two Towers, and Medal of Honor Frontline for some "get to Christmas" gaming...We'll see though.

The classic "Seven Days of Evil-Mas"! Or however many days it is.

I make excellent art-house movies of Kelegacy giving same... And people said that The Movies wasn't a powerful piece of software...

This is a great idea though. I've really enjoyed the site, especially once I formally joined and got into the discussions. Thanks for the love, Evil & Co.
