Now all we need is a patch that actually fixes stuff in the game.

Has anyone had any problems running this game. When I play it, it runs smoothly and is stable. Far more stable than many PC games released through retail.

yeah... what exactly needs fixing? It ran great for me (although with limited frills due to my underpowered cpu) but no bugs to speak of. I havent heard anything on the net either about anything. I definently heard more talk about HL:2 and its sound stuttering problems.

He was just trying his damnedest to complain or be biased in his news post. This is Evil Avatar, after all.

This past weekend four friends and I played through Doom 3 in Coop, which was made possible via the SDK. Hopefully someone takes FEAR and does the same thing, that will rock. Coop is so often forgotten in Multiplay that it is nice to look forward to it sometimes when a SDK is released.

^^^ Coop would be pretty rad.
Also, I join the chorus of those wondering what exactly the snarky editorial comment refers to. I've hardly seen any complaints about bugs or compatability issues.

Works perfectly on my old, tired machine.
No problems here.
I was wondering the same thing... what are you talking about?

The only thing that bugged me about this game is that the framerate was really inconsistant.

There is only ONE serious bug and that was introduced with the free map on Holloween. Once that level loads and you play for a bit, your sound will get hosed. Footsteps, your gun shots and other sounds are muffled or gone. The bug persists until you close down the program and restart.
I'd like to see a hotfix for that one level but other then that.. it's running GREAT for me. I have an ATI card and a known tweak is to rename your fear.exe file to something else and play with that shortcut to bypass some tweak that worked in the demo but NOT in the full version. You will get a 15-20fps increase by this workaround. (until the 5.12's get released with the fix)
