If only this and MGS4 had come out for the PS3 as they moved on to PS4, I probably would still be satisfied with my purchase.

I like that a lot of the game's visual elements come from the fact that the main character likes to draw. The style is eye-catching already, but being relevant to the game's story is even better.


That being said, playing through this game is really satisfying. I've already put in about 30 hours so far and I'm not quite done with the campaign. I've gotten frustrated at certain points (mission 7 and 15-a), but more because I'm a horrible strategy gamer than bad mission design, I think.
The only thing that would make it better would've been a versus mode.

This game is fantastic. Satisfying gameplay, interesting story and characters, and it looks good to boot.

I loved this game, best tactical game I've played since X-com and Terror from the Deep. Its a shame its so overlooked.

It's not flawless, but I have not been disappointed by it. There's really nothing else like it.

Anyway the demo is good to give you an idea of the game style but it does not do the game justice. The mission you fight is pretty bland where as the games other missions are massively more entertaining and require a lot more strategy.

It looks great, it has some genuinly likable characters - story is a little different. A new spin on old concepts. I very much enjoyed it - would love to think it'll sell enough to warrent another. Alas it won't :(

If you removed the some cheap AI tactics, bizarre UI choices, and odd randomness it would be truely exceptional.
