Big talker, big thinker Peter Molyneux will be hosting a the keynote at GDC this year called "Lionhead Experiments Revealed" where he will talk about some things that Lionhead is currently experimenting with. Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/12/17/peter-molyneux-to-reveal-lionhead-experiments-at-gdc-09/):

Peter Molyneux's lecture promises to be a candid look behind the scenes, complete with "visual and playable examples" of several concepts currently being toyed with at Lionhead Studios.

Though none of them are guaranteed to show up in forthcoming projects, it should provide a tantalizing glimpse up Molyneux's sleeve. Which is not only the greatest sleeve ever, but can fit any person at any time and will force you to reconsider the role sleeves play in our modern society. Probably.

I'm interested to see what they're gonna come up with.

Peter Molyneux talks are always entertaining at least. That is a more than I say for a lot of the talks at GDC.

This is a direct result of Will Wright showing his prototype demos for Spore at GDC a couple years ago.

Peter was able to point and say -- look at Spore. Look at what you can do if you have some devs just doing gameplay prototypes early in the process as well as the guys doing the day to day work.

Of course noone could have known how Spore would turn out, so it seemed like a fair deal to give the guy some resources, especially after the criticisms of Fable 1's depth.

Overall, good on Peter for staking out resources
