Why are these things always done like this? It's like hosting the "Best of Senior Linedancing Awards" and inviting Tim Sweeny and John Carmack to host. Not only does it make no sense, it's annoying, and it alienates the audience.
I understand that you can't have these things hosted by some average nerd dude, and I wouldn't want them to be. But there must be some happy medium, here. Why can't we just have a good, charismatic host, rather than some jackass DJ or red-haired punkpop guy?
Also, that whole fake live thing, with the terrible crowd sounds and all... hilarious. I could be wrong, it could have been done before a real audience. But based on that recording, I highly doubt it.
The whole thing is pathetic.
I hope the girl clan members are hot lesbians. Lesbians are my favorite kind of sinners.

Personally, I'm all about the tax fraud artists.

All video game awards shows should be hosted by Gabe and Tycho from Penny Arcade.

You know, I'm all for girls and women playing games, but doing a specific award thing like that is just downright condescending. Especially since the other categories don't seem to be sex-related... or are they just male-specific without them saying so? Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Another thing that bothers me about things like these, as always, is the obvious amount of fanboys (Or should I say fankids?) it attracts.

Agreed. Somehow they have become the spokespersons for gamers everywhere. Most of these other hosts seem condescending and cheap.

Not to mention the legions of horny, basement-dwelling losers who drool at the site of women that are not their mothers.
It never ceases to amaze me how much focus the "babes" get at these types of events - E3 et al. It really shows how immature "gaming journalism" not to mention many gamers are.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. It could be like sports teams where they break it up into men and women's categories. It gets the women more visibility which encourages more to give it a shot. And even if the girls won the best clan award this way you get two teams recognized instead of one.Xbox Community Awards 2005 (Audio Link) feat J Allard & more!J performs a feat? Is it Cleave?
