Pretty damn cool, watch the games from a virtual chat room. DOA:U had a great online mode, this just takes it to another level. With the gameplay tweaks they are implementing I can't see myself not getting this on day one.

Oh my god, I can finally live out my online fantasy of being a talking tree.
But this is rather neat, especially if that screen is showing a current match rather then just some demo video.

That has got to be some of the craziest shit I have ever seen, and yet I am strangly drawn to the idea of being a pink little piggy, on a space station, talking with a tree, while two people beat the hell out of eachother on a big screen. Fucking awesome.

It's from the latest Famitsu. And yea I meant I'm getting it the day it comes out. YOu can watch the matches in realtime in the chat lobbies. So you mihgt be next in line for the battle and you can watch it with the other contestants while shooting the shit. Crazy stuff, very cool.

I have been mulling over getting this just for the online lobby. There's some cool characters to choose from and you can supposidly earn, buy and upgrade new features for your own lobby such as tvs for watching the other fights in process..
according to some of the 360 magazines I've seen you can also be an albino crocodile!

I'm getting a 360 just to have a talking pig as my avatar.

YOu can upgrade your charachters the more points you win in doa4. Cool stuff, you can buy accesories too if you get enough points.

Looks cool. It would seem that watching matches live will be a big thing in XBL on the 360. PGR3 has a whole thing set up to watch the hottest race going on at any given time, called Gotham TV. Now this.

It looks like a bunch of action figures from an old BEST catalog.

That scene look surreal. I want to be the tree!!Me, me.
Mmmm i like DOA but i hated the online mode in DOA:Ultimate. It just wasn't fighter friendly. It was laggy with the fighters and the moves sometime didn't connect due to you throwing a kick and the opponent not even being there anymore.
A fighter needs split second timing.
Fingers crossed though DOA4 will be able to sort out the previous games online mode. I hope so because i'm getting it :) a good online mode will be a nice bonus for a fighter.

'Shooting the shit"????
What did the shit ever do to you? Anyway, it does seem like a pretty cool idea. I've never been into the spectator mode stuff, but PGR3 seems like they have made it rock. Kind of cool thinking that hundreds of people may be watching you race against some of the other top players in the world.
Perigon, you have the console before any of us...wouldn't that at least make you happy?? Anyway, have you tried Condemned yet?

Im new to the Whole Xbox Live thing (I Play mainly PS2).. But I really like the idea of this..
Going slightly off topic: I also read that PGR 3 will have a TV station mode so Players can watch a live Race. Also, when playing, If a red icon appears on your screen you are being 'Filmed' on the TV mode.

I wonder if the models/environment used will be changed up at all for the North American release.

Nice, I just noticed on famitsu.com that they're still taking preorders for the 360 launch. Good to know a huge portion of units is still going to Japan, where they haven't sold out while we're getting screwed. *sigh*
Well, at least Xbox is listed as a console on their site. Albeit the last one (with the DS in front of it). ;)

I believe they said there will be 5 or 6 themed lobbies with different characters. It's kinda gimmicky but what IS cool is you can watch the matches being played out in TVs in the lobby.

That's the moment stress kicks in and you start driving into everything you see.

Dang it! I was going to say this exact thing. I was going through the thread, and didn't see anyone else say it,then the post right before me says it. But yeah, definitely Phantasy Star Online (but with TV).

Looks awesome, I love DOA, this was the only game that would probably change my mind on not getting a 360. The upgrading/items thing could be awesome too...

This kind of lobby system is perfect for 2 player competetive games. Hopefully others take note. Watch the match while waiting for your turn to take on the winner.
