At the beginning of October, I ran a little number that stated Club Nintendo would be available in North America this year (http://evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66027). With the amount of days left in said year dwindling, Nintendo has made good on this promise and launched their new iteration of the fan website (https://club.nintendo.com/).

Sure enough, there's a bunch of prizes you can earn by filling out some surveys and gaining the site's currency, coins, so head on over and make your account (or transfer your myNintendo account with supposed ease)!

Thanks NintendoWiiFanboy (http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2008/12/15/club-nintendo-almost-launches-real-prizes-confirmed/)!

Fantastic! I think I single-handedly crashed their server just now.

Yeah they keep you in an endless loop of entering registration information even though you've already registered.

Yeah I'm a bit pissed right now...

I have registered EVERY game and system I have owned over the last 5 or 6 years with Nintendo on their website... we are talking every system from the GBA to the Wii, and 50+ games to boot...

Just talked to a customer service rep who told me this:

"You earn coins based on items purchased AFTER Club Nintendo went into effect, so you get nothing for everything you have already registered"

Great to be a loyal customer....

I'm with you dude I call bullshit on this, I have been a nintendo head since i was 6 years old, i stuck with them and put up with the "kiddy-games" bullshit insults from PSX owners and dreamcast folks. There should be some kind of retroactive gift for folks who have stuck it out with them at least.

Funny, I didn't register some games until this got launched, and yet I got credit for them...

I don't know what everybody is complaining about. Every game I registered has a survey that takes 10 seconds to complete and you'll get coins for it. With everything I've registered I should be able to get almost every gift they have in the store. I'm extremely pleased that I can get stuff for all my purchases.

Site is still slow though, but I'm patient.

I've registered EVERY game I ever got one of those "codes" for. But only HALF OF THEM show up as qualifying for a survey for coins. That's what I'm a bit upset about. I can't get to 800 points for the special game gift, only about 530 points!
