I just came across this game the other day when i noticed it had a 90% on metacritic. It is by far one of the most inventive PC games ive player in a long time. I would compare it to braid on the level of creativity and fun gameplay. If you guys have ever played lemmings its sort of like that except with stretchable buildable goo. Here's a link its only $20 and its so awesome i figured i should let everyone know.

Agreed its a great game and worth $20. Only they released it with no DRM at all so everyone just torrents it.

I got both and prefer the WiiWare version. Cheaper and works wonderfully with the Wii-mote.

That said, both versions are near-identical and deserve GOTY consideration.

Fixed that for you.

Not to get offtopic, though. BUY the game!

Definitely needs to be considered for casual/indie GOTY

I love this game, It was very worth the money and worth every single bit of effort to play as well.

Not to mention videos of my tower actually gave me a 30,000+ views on youtube.

I'm buying it as soon as it hits $10-$14.

I feel it is worth $20 but I don't think it's worth that much 'to me'.
I.e. I don't think I'd play enough of it to pay that much for it.

Granted, I'm considering not waiting for it to come down in price as a show of support for developers that released a DRM free game (like I did for a few games I'll never have time to play that I bought over at gog.com).

We keep saying DRM is wrong, well, we need to put our money where our mouth is.

So really...all this experience is telling us it that DRM is an actual necessity?

Gamers piss and moan about how crippling DRM is(even though most probably never even encounter the situations they decry...), but rather than show developers and publishers that they're willing to spend money on DRM-free games...they go out and pirate the shit out of them.

If people really are just stealing WoG instead of supporting an indy developer...then, fuck. We deserve DRM.

I paid for it. Did you?

And it was spelled out so nicely by the guy who fixed the post, too. How blind are you to have missed it?

The point is that DRM doesn't matter. People who won't pay for the software will NEVER be bothered by DRM, and the people who do buy the software, well, why do they get to be the ones bothered by DRM, when they are obviously NOT the ones who should be?

DRM does not work, it has never NOT been bypassed and it only adds cost and frustration to PAYING custumors, whilst NOT AT ALL discouraging those who don't pay.

And Goo just proves it out once again: people will pay, and there's people who won't; DRM or lack of it DOES NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ON THOSE NUMBERS. Not having DRM however makes something cheaper to make and leaves nothing to fuck with the paying custumors.

The point I'm trying to get at, and really already stated...is this:

Gamers love to bitch about DRM, but they'll turn around and pirate the hell out of the games that don't bother with DRM at all.

It doesn't matter if it works or not; what matters is that if people continue to pirate DRM-free games, it will only tell publishers that its even more neccesary than ever.

I'm not a supporter of DRM, but I've also never run into the negative side-effects people bitch about either. The number of people who steal games like this are very, very important. Publishers do watch stuff like this, you know. When they see people essentially steal games without DRM, the only thing they're going to do is attempt to tighten up their own security...all in the name of simply wanting to get paid for what they're trying to sell.

I don't like DRM, but I hate thieves even more. Don't get angry at the developers and publishers for implementing shit like this when they're not the ones at fault. Blame all of the thieves who steal and pirate software. It's their fault the rest of us have to deal with it.

The game's worth much more than 20$. One of the best games of this year, every level forces you to think differently.

And remember, everything changes in chapter 4 ;-)

DRM is usefull for the companies to prevent day-zero piracy.
